Gambling has been there from time memorial. It didn't just start and I don't think it's stopping anytime soon. People have been gambling as far back as 3000 BC.
I think the earliest gambling evidence started in a place called Mesopotamia, where people played the game of chance using dice made from stones and bones. And gradually, it started spreading like wildfire to the 21st century.
Modern-day kids or people have taken it far more than before; some have lost their lives in the progress of gambling. People in the olden days enslaved their entire families because of gambling; they lost money instead of giving up and going back home to bury their shame. They allow their ego and pride to push them further until they have completely lost everything and end up taking their life, leaving their families in perpetual suffering.
As the rally round to pay off the debt, he must have accumulated before dying. I remember a guy who died some years back in my vicinity because of a bet. He was a young man full of life but struggling to make ends meet, but things seemed not to be working in his favor at all. He has a daughter and two sons. He works in a small firm, so I guess he wasn't earning much to support his family.
Only God knows who introduced him to betting; he bet the first time and won so big, but I think it was enough to motivate him to bet again. Cause he did bet again lose and did lose again.
He decided to quit cause he was starving his family with the mindset that he would win again. His friend must have asked him to continue that he shouldn't quit and he would win big soon; he continued having issues at work and home, and any little money that entered his hand, went straight to gambling.
He was so addicted that he even stole from his company to play a bet with the hope that he would win and replace the money, but luck wasn't on his side cause he lost everything, including his phone. When the company finds out he was sacked.
I am sure everybody will think that he will stop at this point, but no way. He was now depressed and wanted to win by all means; this made him become a shadow of his old self; he was lost in the moment and couldn't be helped. But one day, he won 10 million naira, but he wasn't able to enjoy the money cause after he won, he died out of shock.
I know that betting has killed a lot of people, and it has also made some people rich; bets like the lottery have taken some people out of the country to find greener pastures, too. My country economic is in shambles so that's why many young people are into gambling right now. Every means to survive people will take as long as it does not hurt anyone. I think the Government shouldn't ban it for them. It is better than fraud or being an organ harvester.

No lie about this. Why he no go die of shock 😂. And the money is still going back to sportybet. It’s like they saw how much poverty has gotten into his brain then decided to play prank on him. He has been a good customer to them.
You are funny. Thank you
A pleasure
it is really sad to see how he lost his job because of gambling. That his friend is a bad person. He should adviced him against betting, but well, he did not
How can he advice him, when his an addict too is like giving what you don't have
ooooo saying gambling is better than fraud or being an organ harvester. That's deep haha. for real though, there's nothing wrong with gambling. It's a people problem. Just like how there's nothing wrong with eating but when people eat too much and get unhealthy and get obese etc; that's not the foods fault :D. In the end it's a human control & discipline issue
Yes, because if the lost money, is there money but if they are organ harvester they are taking another life that the didn't create
that's trueeee. taking lives is never a good thing organ harvester or not

Hey everyone, what a read. It’s wild thinking this chase has been going on since folks were throwing bones in the dirt. That story about the guy in your neighborhood hits way too close to home; it's the dark side of the game we all know is lurking. You get that one sweet, massive win and your brain just flips a switch, telling you you've got the magic touch. The real skill isn't hitting a jackpot, it's learning to manage the rush and not letting your ego write checks your wallet can't cash. My one solid rule is setting a session budget and sticking to it like glue. I've been exploring some of the live dealer games over at https://glorycasinobd.org/ recently, and before the first card is even dealt, I decide what I can afford to lose for the fun of it. Once that number's hit, I'm done, no questions asked. It's the only thing that separates a bit of fun from a total disaster.
