Life sometimes throws at you a total opposite of what you want, but you have the power to turn the situations in your favor.
Growing up as a child, I always wanted to attend the federal universityFederal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria (FUTA).
And this led to three years of waiting without actually getting what I wanted, which was an admission to study as an undergrad there.
For some obvious reasons, which included the fact that I had to combine my O-level results and some other factors.
Fast forward to now. I ended up attending the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. Here I took up a different course, which was in agriculture, a field I never thought of before now.
Attending the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, gave me the privilege of meeting my friend @starstrings01, who introduced me to the Hive blockchain.
Also, attending the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, also gave me the privilege of attending the EYIA training, which is the Enterprise for Youth in Agriculture.
A program organized by the soilless farm lab here in the city of Abeokuta, with the largest greenhouse farming capacity in West Africa, gave me another perspective of farming, and it was indeed an eye-opener for me.
I decided to say just a few of the things I experienced as a student here in FUNAAB because life would truly have been different if I didn't attend here, and I can only imagine what I could have been if I didn't attend here.
But you see, it is much easier talking about what has been rather than what wasn't at all, so while I ended up attending FUNAAB, I don't have any regrets about what I am becoming.
Of course there would have been other connections and all, but I would rather not bother myself over things that didn't take place at all.
And although some people have a lot of things planned out, the prediction of what would have become of me if I attended another institution of learning is not what I have ever imagined.
And now that I think of it, if I had been admitted into FUTA, I would have been a computer scientist by now because the choice course at the time was computer science.
Growing up as a young guy, I picked up a lot of books on computer programs, which I later didn't read because I lost interest in them since I had to do agriculture.
And I don't think I would have arrived where I am now because the people I have met are different from those I would have met back in FUTA. Because you see, soft everything or every place comes with its challenges, which you must face head-on.
