The rate of evil in our world today has increased so much that fellow humans have no regard for other human lives, and this goes to show the rate of the deteriorate that has taken place with the human race.
Some years ago back in the city where I grew up, there were cases of people mysteriously missing after many days or months; most of them were found, but some were never found, and this continued for many years. A few years ago, a bike man who was pressed decided to look for a place to ease himself under a bridge.
It turned out that under the bridge was a location used by some terrorists for kidnapping, killing, and harvesting of human parts. Because of how secluded this area was, nobody would ever think that such a thing would go on or was going on in such a place.
The bike man wanted to burn down to start releasing Pope when an arrow suddenly passed; when he turned to look, he saw a man dressed in rags whom everybody would have thought was a madman, and it was the same man who people talk about as a madman just taking refuge under the bridge, who was the same man with an arrow that just tried to kill him.
The bike man fled for his life and went straight to the police station. He alerted the police, and they came. Some arrests were made after investigation, and that's how that place was exposed.
No matter how you want to look at it, organ harvesting without proper permission from people remains an illegal and criminal offense that is punishable by the law.
We found out that some top politicians and some high-net-worth individuals in the society were part of the organization that was into kidnapping, killing, and harvesting of human parts. They used some of these parts to prepare exotic meals for people who could afford to pay for human parts and sold others for ritual purposes.
Oftentimes we see people with two kidneys (kidney being the most common) wanting to sell one of their kidneys. For some, the reason is quite justifiable, which is to save other lives, but for some, because of the rate of poverty, they have come to the conclusion that selling one of their kidneys is the surest way of escape from poverty.
Apart from donating to save a life and for some people who have terrible disease conditions whose last wish is for their organs to be harvested in order to save their life, I do not see any justification or reason why a person should sell their kidney or organ either for wealth or other purposes.
I believe that God, who made man, knows the importance of these organs; that's why he made some of them two.
What's worse is the fact that some hospitals deceive patients into thinking their illness is so bad it therefore requires surgery, and then they take hold of the opportunity to harvest organs unknown to such patients. This is a crime for which the penalty should be a straight death sentence because it shows a disregard for human life.
In the end people have the right to do what they wish with their organs when it comes to donation or selling to save a life, but measures must be taken to make sure the organ that is left can sustain their lives.
