Creative Sunday: Quinoa & Red Lentils Porridge🌷

Hello friends! I hope you all are happy, healthy, and enjoying your Sunday. Today, I made Quinoa and Red Lentils Porridge and wanted to share it with you.

Quinoa is truly a superfood β€” packed with protein, fiber, and all the essential amino acids. It’s gluten-free, easy to digest, and adds a nutty, wholesome flavor to any dish. Iska texture soft hota hai, yet slightly chewy, which makes it perfect for porridge. I tried making it for the first time, and it turned out really good! My whole family loved it, and it was surprisingly tasty. Now, let me tell you the recipe.

3/4 cup quinoa

1/4 cup red lentils (masoor dal)

2 tbsp ghee

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1 onion, chopped

1 tomato, chopped

1 carrot, grated

1/2 capsicum, chopped

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon juice & coriander for garnish

🌷Rinse quinoa and red lentils well. And chopped all the veggies.

🌷Heat ghee in a cooker add cumin seeds, and let them sizzle.

🌷Add onions in the oil and fry until golden.


🌷Add all the veggies,tomatoes, turmeric, salt, and pepper. and mix well.


🌷Cook the vegetables until the tomatoes become soft and mashy.


🌷Add quinoa and red lentils and mix well together.


🌷Then pour 4 cups of water. Cook it in a 1 to 4 ratio of quinoa and water.

🌷Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.

🌷Open the lid carefully, mix it once, and add lemon juice and coriander leaves.


🌷Quinoa and Red Lentils Porridge is ready! serve hot with black pepper and chat masala.

Gosh, that looks so good, with all the spices I bet it is really flavorful. I haven't really tried lentils and Quinoa before. I'm super curious about their taste.
