Hello and welcome to my page. I'm @daniky and here is my entry to the weekly featured content for week 12 edition 1 This post is in response to the question which states;
"Write a story about betrayal. It could be between family, friends or even coworkers. The main theme of the story must be betrayal."
It is said that "the heart of a man is desperately wicked, who can know it?" Despite the fact that you can be opened to someone you confide in, there is always a need to be reserved and never review your good plans and potential successes to anyone. Sandra fell a victim of a terrible incident that almost claimed her life but thank God as she managed to break loose.
Sandra was so selfless, hardworking and devoted in her mid 20s few years back. She was hospitable and jovial with both her fellow ladies and male friends as well. Due to her jovial nature, most of her male friends took advantage of her but could hardly succeed whenever they try to get down with her because she was descent. She was a giver and could sacrifice her life at the expense of others. Despite this, people kept betraying her.
Sandra has a bestie named Cynthia who was a beautiful lady. She hardly hide most of her plans to Cynthia because she confide in her and treated her as her bestie. Sandra has a boyfriend who mostly lives with her in her rented apartment because he was having backlogs of bills to settle and accommodation issues with his landlord. So he found solace in living with Sandra since she stays all alone in a single room. Cynthia being a friend to Sandra, had good rapport with Sandra's boyfriend on daily basis till they were more like close friends as she keeps visiting.
One day Cynthia came visiting Sandra without notice. She told Sandra she'll be living with her for few months till she is able to rent herself an apartment. The more reason was also because she was living with her parents who hardly allows her have her Freedom to do whatever she likes. So she feels she's of age and will never want to spend any further time with her family. Sandra had no choice but to accommodate her pending the moment she will be financially buoyant to rent an apartment. Sandra felt like "what do we have in this world that doesn't finishes?" So she was been generous to have allowed her friend to live with her knowing fully well that her boyfriend is also living with them. Sandra trusted Kola so much that she has put him to test twice and he passed it. So she believed nothing would happen between Cynthia and Kola. Cynthia was jobless as well as Kola. There were both high school certificate holder and never had the privilege of advancing their studies either to a degree or NCE level. Sandra was a college graduate and due to her interpersonal skills she was privileged to get a job at the Chicken republic as a supervisor. She works diligently and used her pay to cater for Cynthia, Kola and herself. Despite the fact that Sandra salary was too miga, she still manages to find a means to send money monthly to her parent at the village.
As time was gradually passing by, the going gets more tougher than ever. Kola and Cynthia wasn't managing the foodstuff at home and to make matter worse, Kola kept sleeping with Cynthia under Sandra's roof whenever Sandra is off to work and this continued persistently for the next 3months, till when Cynthia eventually took in for Kola. They did all they could to keep the pregnancy away from Sandra and besides, Sandra mustn't hear that her bestie slept with her boyfriend because anything could happen which might result to something hazardous our fatal. So, Kola devised a means of getting rid of the pregnancy but Cynthia wanted to keep it. Fortunately for him, Cynthia later yielded and they decided to abort the pregnancy without the notice of Sandra.
One month later Sandra's Dad (a police man) come visiting his daughter and decided to spend 3days with Sandra. He came to Abuja in respect of an important document he was to deliver to the Inspector General of police. Before his visit, Kola temporarily went back to his house for the meantime while Cynthia remained in Sandra's house. Sandra's father (the policeman) became so obsessed with Cynthia and took advantage of the beautiful lady. He later extended his going back by one week (after the submission of the document was successful). Reason why he waited more was because of Cynthia. He made her pregnant again before he travelled back to Jos. Cynthia never knew she was pregnant till she later confirmed it in a nearby hospital and decided to keep it as a secret between her and Sandra's dad. Meanwhilebsuring those time, Sandra spends more quality time with Kola at his place whenever she's back from her workplace. She helped Kola to offset 6months of his one year rent he was owing. She also made sure Kola feeds well and look healthy before she goes to her house whenever she comes visiting. She was as well, working on getting a good job for him to make him stand on his financial ground.
When Sandra's Dad left. Sandra had to bring in Kola again and Cynthia wasn't happy this time. She suggested Kola sort for an accommodation far away from Sandra's vicinity for them to keep having a good time together. So Kola had to borrow money from diverse sources and money borrowing applications to sort their accommodation needs else (not even planning of balancing his debt at his formal place). The moment the new apartment was rented by kola and ready, Cynthia later appreciated Sandra and told her she has gotten a new apartment for herself. She never told Sandra that Kola got that new apartment. So she tried to play smart and secretly signalled Kola telling him she'll be waiting for him at their new one bedroom apartment. So Sandra and Kola helped convey Cynthia loads to the "supposed Kola's new apartment".
A week after Cynthia left, Kola told Sandra to please forgive him that he might not be able to keep being in relationship with her because he's in love with another lady (not knowing he was referring to her beautiful bestie, Cynthia). So he left her, carry his luggage and moved to Cynthia's place. He later went to his expired house and carry all his luggage to Cynthia's place (his supposed apartment).
Few weeks later, Sandra's Father came back to Abuja disguising he's on an official visit. This time, he never branched Sandra's house but was directed by Cynthia to Kola's new apartment. Cynthia disguised that she's squatting in that new apartment with her cousin "Kola" and that Sandra sent her away from her house (not knowing Kola was Cynthia's sex mate and his daughter's ex-boy friend). The man appreciated Kola for helping Cynthia in her moment of trial and promised to reward him.
So 3days later, Sandra got a call from her mum at Jos that her dad is back to Abuja on an official trip for the past 3days. She never believed her hearing, so she decided to put a call through to her dad finding out where exactly he is in Abuja. The Dad refused picking her calls. So she decided to check on her friend Cynthia during the weekend and what she saw marvelled her. She saw Cynthia wear one of Kola's boxers and noticed the shock on Cynthia's face. Sandra asked Cynthia if she knows her dad whereabout, she pretended and said "No". Cynthia started pleading that situation isn't like the way she thinks, that she can explain. Fortunately for Sandra, as they were both discussing, her Dad drove in with Kola (they went to get something to take for lunch) and suddenly met Sandra looking at them with great disappointment and she left angry immediately.
Without further waste of time, Sandra's Dad and Cynthia left Abuja to Jos. He sold his house and rented an apartment for his wife (Sandra's mum) and another apartment for Cynthia. Cynthia later became a step mother to Sandra while the Sandra's Dad became much in love with Cynthia that he hardly have time for his first wife again. This was a major betrayal Sandra could hardly deal with.
Kola was left alone in the one bedroom apartment and was left to face the penalty of updating the rent and paying back the debts he owe. The moment Sandra got back to her house her neighbour told her how he has been noticing for long that Cynthia and Kola has been sleeping with each other. Sandra almost ran mad. What also confirmed the truth via a cctv camera recording in the room. The situation was shocking and ridiculous. Sandra was deeply heart broken and totally devastated.
Till date, Sandra finds it more difficult to trust anyone and decides to be single till she fully recovers from the severe shock of her life.
Lessons
- Be kind but be wise and careful when helping a friend
- Be mindful of who you call your friend because they can either make or mar you.
- Be mindful of who you accommodate. They might have either good or bad impact in your life and Destiny.
- Love all, but trust few.
- Be careful of whom you trust
- Always notice the closeness of your spouse and co-friends
- No one is perfect and above temptation. Flee from every appearances of lust and have self-control

See bunch of betrayal from left to the right , oh. ..how I pity the poor sandra. She over trusted! Who does that, allowing your boyfriend , a man to live with your bestie? Haa! Human body is not firewood oo, she should have expected such to happen. Not withstanding , human beings are not trust worthy no matter how you try to satisfy them, if they see any space , they will betray your trust ...some people anyways not all.
To make the matter worst , cynthia slept with Sandra Dad and finally became the second wife and her step mum😭🤔

Sometimes true friends can become enemies and enemies can also become friends. then just be friends and just be normal so that betrayal cases don't happen in the future.

It felt like it was a real event. I feel so bad for Sandra. Her boyfriend and Dad slept with her bestie in her own apartment. Damn, that shit is painful.

For Kola amd Cynthia, their deeds were a wicked one, not bad, wicked! Although, if I were a lady I would never allow that cos temptation is real!!😂 The twist et al has a very good stance @daniky. By the way, I guess the Dad took the chance, no time.😂 This kind of situatiom for Sandra is all-round, must have been difficult for the poor lady.
That's true my brother. No one in his/her right senses should have allowed his spouse live indoor with his/her bestie continously in this present world we are. What could make an uncle to be raping a little child shows that no one can be trusted. Though there are men of integrity as well, but they are very few in number. Thank you for stopping by @temibot
