Hello everyone! Its the weekend again and I hope you all have a blissful weekend!
Over the years, things have gotten worse day by day and the government also seem to be confused on what to do about, infact the masses ate tired too, we have complained and complained about the increase of the economy and still yet nothing has been done, we the masses have also taken this our everyday lifestyle, food stuffs are increasing day by day and nothing is been done. People are unable to feed their families well and as well as take care of themselves in terms of buying new clothes and other basic things that is been used in the home.
Honestly if I had the power to reduce the cost of things, then I will Definitely do that because people are really suffering, infact mostly in this our country (Nigeria), we the masses are just suffering and smiling, ever heard a saying that “cost of living wants to kill the living”, we definitely passing through hell… a friend of mine once said that God has forgotten this country LOL…The masses are crying everyday and begging the government to do something about but still yet nothing has been done.
Many people no longer buy good rice to eat because its very expensive, so many people now but the one that has tiny stones inside because they’re trying to manage money.
Some weeks ago indomie instant noodles skyrocketed to N18,000 per pack, thats minus one for the little children and even some adults like me, because it became way too expensive, infact some parents has even warned their children not to talk about buying noodles again.
Or should we even go into building industry? Dangote’s cement that people were buying for 5k before skyrocketed to N13,000, some people had to put their projects on hold because of the prizes of material, or is it fuel? Or even electricity, in my area we get 3hours of light for 3days… its so bad that we hardly store anything in the freezer and we dont cook plenty portion of food anymore because it will definitely get spoilt.
If I had the power to bring back economic stability, this is how would go about;
• Firstly important should be done to a limit, the importation we
do, the higher things become because this involves dollar.
• commercial food farmers should at least try to give wholesale rs reasonable prices, so that the retailers and consumers would also be able to afford products.
. Since we’re limiting the importation, we as masses should also try out our own capacity by producing and inventing meaningful products
• I also know that not all things can be invented, so this why a reasonable balance of trade with other nations should be introduced.
. Cutting down of taxes, and also the government should reduce their deficit spending during better times.
My country peole is so used to hardship that thing the government dish out to us, we just complain for one or two days and then finally accept the reality and move on, bringing back a stable economy would make things more much easier and lighter both for the government and masses, people would be happy with the government, the nation would also be rich knowingly and unknowingly.

It's saddening to know that we have a long suffering spirit as a nation. Is it that we are afraid to voice out or there's an undertone dictatorship under civilian rule? The nation is truly bleeding and yet again, we cling to hope and prayers rather than action.
Food insecurity I believe stems from general insecurity. Who would go to farm when life and property is at risk?
I admire your position and positivity. We need to cut down cost of governance and be more lenient with policies so that investors and local farmers for example can be encouraged.

Even the police and armies who don’t receive good salaries are after the life’s of the civilian, the last time women went out to protest, they were been flogged and jailed by the authorities, may God help us

While I agree with you that things are presently tough, I won't say it was pleasing then, it's only more worst in my opinion, but back then was worst as well.
But then like you said it's better to have that of back then, it's just painful we've to choose between worst and worsttest
