*Week 32 went smoothly and many interesting things have happened in this week 32, including many participants who took part to enliven the contest this week. Unfortunately this time we will enter the last issue of the week, and I think this is the end of the fun in this 32nd week. However, there will be lots of other fun waiting in the following weeks.
So, as previously announced, that the topic that will be discussed this week is about lying, and of course lying is a bad thing, everyone will agree on that. And sometimes we confess our lies to people we have lied to for their own good or intentionally do it for other purposes. It's a little better than just lying to them. I've also lied, but never to admit it or tell my reasons for lying to the person I lied to, but in this post I will tell you when my friend lied to me for my good and he admitted it after us.
So, Let's see my story below...
I think everyone will agree that lying is a heinous act and many religious teachings encourage their followers to avoid it. This is true because lying itself is an act that is very detrimental and a despicable act. Lying can make people lose and hurt of course, but in times like today, lying is an act that is most often done, for some reason but that's the reality. Actually people understand this very well and I'm sure every child will be advised not to do it. Besides, lying is something that is mostly used to cover up or hide something, it's a kind of shortcut to hide the secrets we have from someone or everyone and I'm not saying that this is completely wrong considering that we have secrets which of course We can't go public.
Talking about the despicable act of lying itself, we also know the name of lying for good and this is the opposite of the purpose of lying itself with the intention of covering up something that is not good which if it is known it will be bad for those who know it, or we are required to keep a secret and of course the act of lying is the best solution we can do.
But whatever it is, it's still a lie and with the same guilt, the same sin, just a different purpose.
I am someone who can be said to lie very often, especially to hide things from other people. A lie is certainly not something to be admitted after, and I think that the lie I made is still a lie and with the aim of hiding something bad or to make what I say look convincing. However, I am also often lied to, but of every person who has lied to me, there was one moment where a friend of mine lied to me with a very good purpose, namely to eliminate my fear and convince me to believe his words.
The incident began when we were adventuring to one of the places we had not visited at that time, everything went well until we were intercepted by heavy rain so that the river water was too heavy for us to pass and looked dangerous. With our position in the middle of the forest and the weather getting darker, things looked so bad at the time that my courage waned for a moment. But this is where a lie really helps, namely when we were desperate one of my friends tried to convince us to keep crossing the river by holding on to each other and with a rope for us to hold on and cross at the same time so that nothing was carried away by the current and to minimize maybe we were lost in the strong current.
With confidence, he convinced us to keep crossing the swift river even though we knew that it was very dangerous, especially our equipment at that time was minimal. We also felt scared, even though we knew that he was scared too. But by reassuring us and telling us that as long as we cross at the same time, there's nothing to worry about, and it pays off. We crossed safely, although some of us were almost swept away by a strong current, but with the capital of faith and trust in people who have lied to us with various reasons and tricks, we managed to do it.
After we safely arrived at our destination, he admitted his lie and I felt it really had to be done. He also recounted when he lied at that time because he had given up and had no other choice. He also admitted that during the crossing process, he was very afraid if any of us would be dragged by the current, and most surprising of all, he said that the rope we used to cross was not something we could rely on because if we were dragged by the current, we would still not be able to do so. can be saved. He also admitted that a rope that we used to hold on was a tool to make us feel brave and confident to cross.
Since that incident, I have come to understand that lies can be used for good. It's like committing a sin to get a reward, of course this is rarely done and I was very impressed with the tactics and lies of one of my friends just to convince us to get home safely.
Lies are not always a tool to hide something from other people, but there is one form of lying with the ability to influence other people's thinking to believe, believe, understand, and also they want to follow what we say. This is a bit more of a brainwashing ability, but done with lies that make the person being lied to believe in what we are saying. Things like that are still a lie no matter what, but if used for the right path, they are very useful and can make the impossible possible, just like my story.
