"Jay hurry up and light the fire!"
"Mom, I'm trying. This rocks have refused to ignite."
"Don't use them if they are wet. Search for dry rocks."
"I did it mom. The fire is lit."
"Good. Now add more wood to the fire. We need a large smoke to signal your father and sister that we are here.
Jay did as he was told. His father saw the smoke and joined them, they camped there for the night and the next day they would continue their three days trek to the North market. It was the biggest market in their country and people from far and wide would bring their goods and sample them. Jay and his family were farmers and fishermen, every week they would carry baskets full of market products and some fishes and trek to the North market hoping to earn some coins.
As they sat round the fire keeping warm, Jay looked at his hands which were covered in red glowing blisters. That was a result of hours of farm work with hoe and cutlass. Considering the fact that they normally spend a whole three days to get to the North market, they didn't actually have enough time to work in their farms, therefore they worked non-stop. Some days they would work late into the night with nothing but the moon providing light for them.
He took the first watch for the night, they couldn't all sleep at once. They took turns in keeping watch, looking out for wild animals, and also thieves looking for travelers to rob. This is why they leave their coins buried in their farm back at home, taking only they really need for the Journey.
Suddenly, he heard the tweaks breaking and some movement in the bush. He grabbed a large stick, which was the only weapon they had, with stick in hand he waited for the intruder to reveal himself or itself. Strangely, an old man walked out of the bushes with a staff in his hands.
"Can I get a cup of water." The old man asked.
"What is an old man like you doing out here this late. Are you lost?" Jay asked as he handed the old man a cup of water.
"I'm here to tell your future."
He spat into the water and poured it into the fire. The fire started acting strangely she displayed some images, things that Jay has never seen in his life.
He saw strange creatures [tractors] carrying out farm work with so much ease. He saw humans getting into a strange houses with windows and wheels [cars] transporting from one place to another. Some of these strange houses moved on land, some on sea, and some in the air.
"What sort of magic makes a house move and fly." He asked as he kept watching in complete amazement.
He saw people miles away talking to each other through a strange device like they were next to each other. He couldn't see mud house and thatch house which he was familiar with, rather he saw strange buildings, some of them magically stood on water. He saw a strange machine which vomited money for people. In this magical place, they didn't go to streams, all they had to do was turn a handle and water would flow non stop.
"Is this heaven or a fantasy island? There seems to be some magic operating here."
"This is the future young one. And your generation would be lucky enough to experience some of these things soon. Pour me another cup of water."
When Jay turned to give the old man another cup of water, he was gone. Jay day there wandering if he had been dreaming. When day broke, he told his family about his encounter with the old man but none of them believed him.
"Listen to yourself son. It's not possible for houses to move. The only thing that transports you from place to place is your two legs." His father said.
"And why would humans want to fly in the air, and money vomiting machines. That is so ridiculous." His mother added.
"I bet his down with Malaria. Can't explain his hallucinations of an impossible magical world." his sister said.
This Magical Impossible World have been made Possible today, thanks to Technology. I'm sure if our ancestors were shown the future of today, they would never believe it would ever come to be. So yeah! Every single technology advancement excites me, it has made life easier in a thousand ways

Wow... this is a beautiful tale illustrating just how far we have come in regards to technology.
When you think about it, with just how far we have come if you told someone from the past that things would be like this thy would probably think you are mad. We have really grown indeed.
