No One Would Wait To Be Told First

With the way the labor market is getting congested daily, I am troubled about how gross the rate of unemployment might become in the next few decades.

Yearly, graduates are adding to the ones already on the ground, and new people are getting admission. All these are having the expectations of getting a nice job and living a comfortable life afterwards.

Sadly, jobs are scarce, there is a lot of competition in the labor market, and to make it worse, the issue of godfatherism, bribery, and so on has also contributed to making opportunities scarce.

Gone are the days when you finish school and expect jobs to be chasing you if you are good at what you do; these days people chase jobs and even pay to get them.

Remote jobs came into the picture at some point and became a savior, having several advantages; comfortability, good pay, lower costs, and the like.

Many rushed into it and are enjoying their lives, defeating joblessness on one hand, but the number of unemployed is great.

As soon as people noticed that remote jobs are paying off, the number of those opting for remote jobs kept increasing until the jobs are scarce too.

These days, getting remote jobs is by connection; you have to know someone who knows someone who also knows someone.

I can't count how many times I sought dearly for remote jobs but got none. I did several searches, which yielded no results.

Thank God for some of the blogging websites we have that are still putting food on our tables; if not, I don't know what would have become of me.

One of the problems with remote jobs is that they have expiry dates; one moment you are enjoying and the next you are back to the dust.

It's quite painful, although I believe if one plans well, unless they didn't stay long enough in the job, they should have gotten something enough to start up life.

Now, to the question of whether people are going back to regular jobs with the way remote jobs are getting saturated?

To me, I think that's possible; so far, there is no job that is better than physical jobs. No matter the circumstance, you can easily land one.

But for remote jobs, the availability is not certain. Most people desire remote jobs due to how flexible it is, but the problem is it will not always be available for you.

In the situation where the job is no longer available, we don't need anyone to tell us to go back to the available jobs, if not for anything but for survival.

I was telling a friend some time ago that with the way people are getting disappointed by the government in times of jobs, one day people will no longer value working for the government but will create jobs for themselves.

And it's already happening; a lot of people now prefer to learn a skill and start up something for themselves rather than being under another person or the government.

But what I fear with this bold move is that along the line, the competition would be much, and people would struggle to get those who would patronize them. Well, we pray for a better government; I believe that if the government is good, things will fall into place as well.

The subject of unemployment is a problem that's heading into the years ahead. The labour market is over saturated. Remote jobs have been a great benefit and help indeed. If one knows how to manage what they get and use it well to their advantage, they'll make something of it.
