It seems we both have similar perspective regarding this subject. Smartphone is a sophisticated device with lot of engaging features which is capable of distracting kids from their studies, even adult still struggle with social media and smartphone addiction not to talk of kids. I think usage of smartphones should be restricted to those in higher institutions while those below can make use of it at home for academic purposes under the supervision of their guardian.
