As a result of technological advancements resulting to the foundation of social media, which has been one of the greatest communication channel of mankind. It is quite obvious that the existence of social media has gotten rid of most communication challenges that serves as an hindrance, for example the case of boundaries have been eliminated.
Social media being a product of technology has been in existence for decades now, as a result of its rise and usage it has made the world a global village. As important as information is, before the arrival of social media, there was this accessibility barrier due to differences in locality and geographical zones. It became an hindrance for dissemination of information that is capable of enriching and saving lives of humans but thanks to technology, social media was birthed and eradicated the challenge, which is highly commendable.
Based on its features, information can be dropped by any individual from any corner of the earth and it will reach the masses in a matter of minutes such is the power of the social media. With less censorship, to an extent you can say through social media our true libertarian rights can be practiced, which involves freedom of expression, right to be solely responsible to choose which information is worth being read.
Social media has taken the world by surprise as a result of its assimilation by the masses. Becoming a global phenomenon that has impacted the cognitive understanding of the masses about the existence and Significance of the existing media that has ruled supreme over the years. Social media gained more acceptance due to its flexibility in convening information without going through gatekeeping process an attribute which is most sacred to the conventional media.
The introduction of social media has brought the world closer like never before. It also serve as an opportunity for those who have earnest the privileges offered by social media to promote their businesses and also embark on building a career on social media such as being a social media influencer.
As an individual, over the years I have grown fond of the usage of social media to perform some activities most especially reaching out to people, advertise any kind of product or service I wish to create awareness for. Though I wouldn't say I'm a pro in making use of social media, looking at the rate at which I use social media to perform tasks, I still consider my activities on social media to be limited. Probably because I'm not really building any professional career on social media, maybe if that was the case i would have made use of social media more often.
Despite not frequently Making use of social media there are things I have noticed about social media platforms, every social media platforms have its use cases. Every social media app might look like an ordinary tool for communication among users but each posses unique features which is why users prefer to have account on different social media platforms to perform specific tasks.
So if I were to ban a specific social media platform, it will definitely be the platform that doesn't seem to have any significance anymore, example of such platform is 2go. I'm sure you are smiling already. When this first launched it was like a ranging fire among the youths, its glory days was short lived, I came across this platform on Play store some days ago and I was like, so this platform is it existing. Normally, I wouldn't want to go after a platform that is useful to the masses, so why not ban the ones that are of no use, this seems to be my logical conclusion.

You are right. Social media has eliminated some things that were supposed to be in place. its truly great. We hear news through social media, both recent and old. 2go has gone long ago. it was a means of connecting with lovers.
