Let's be factual about this topic, most people will say abortion is wrong while some will support it, but it all depends on everyone's perspective. In my opinion I would not say it is good or bad because life happens to everyone differently, things are happening in the world now, I hear stories on social media everyday, there is a case where the father raped his own daughter and got her pregnant, should we say such child should leave the pregnancy and carry the burden of shame at such early age?
Abortion is a topic that many people talk about with strong feelings, like I said earlier some see it as something that should never happen, while others believe it is a personal choice, for me, I believe it depends on the situation, life is full of challenges, and sometimes people face things they never planned for.
When someone gets pregnant at a time they are not ready, it can bring fear, confusion, and pressure, some are still young and trying to find direction, while some got pregnant through molestation and in cases like these, it is easy to understand why a person may think about abortion, it does not always mean they are careless or wicked, sometimes it means they do not want to bring a child into pain or hardship.
Now to the question of this prompt: Should the father have a say? In my opinion I believe the father's voice matters, as well but not as much as the woman’s voice, a man does not carry the pregnancy, he does not face the medical risk, he does not feel the daily changes, but I know some men care deeply and want to be involved, their feelings should not be ignored at all, a baby affects two people so both should talk with honesty.
But the final decision depends on the woman, she is the one who carries the bigger burden, she is the one whose future changes immediately, no one should force her into motherhood when she is not ready, no one should force her into abortion either, choice means freedom and freedom means shaping your own life.
I also feel that society needs to show more understanding, many women face pressure from family, or religion, some fear shame if they keep the pregnancy, while others fear judgment if they end it both paths are hard and no one should pretend that any of this is simple.
I know this topic will always bring arguments but I believe we should learn to respect different stories, not everyone has the same background, the same strength, or the same support, some women are already carrying heavy pain before pregnancy even comes, some are trying to escape abuse, some are fighting for survival and some are simply not ready to raise a child. When we think about all these realities, we begin to understand why choice is important, a woman should not be forced to follow a path that breaks her spirit, she should have room to decide what is right for her future.
