Now a days it’s hard to trust charity, it feels like people care more about looking good than actually helping, I often wonder, when I give, how do I know my money is really going to the people who need it and not into someone’s pocket?
I remember some years back when we were asked to donate to my church for a project that was supposed to help poor families, we donated some food stuffs, money and also clothing materials, I didn’t see the results right away but I wasn't worried, when I eventually saw the families getting food, clothes, and support, I felt so much joy in me and I realized that charity is not about the amount you give, it’s about the heart you give with, even small things can matter if your intention is sincere.
Donating doesn't necessarily mean we can police them to account for every penny spend but there are situations where people needs transparency, For instance I see people on social media making videos of themselves giving to the needy, It often seems like content for likes and attention rather than real help but as time goes by I have realized that sometimes these videos are genuine.
The people truly want to make a difference, and the videos are a way to show transparency, It made me understand that we, as donors, also need to be open-minded, we should ask questions, observe, and try to see how our donations are being managed before passing judgment, giving wisely means being careful but also trusting the right people.
From my experiences, I’ve learned that giving safely means more than just handing over money, you need to see things for yourself, ask questions, and sometimes be directly involved, it makes us see the difference our donation made, most times It reminded us that giving is not just about money but about connection too.
Even with the way we monitor our donations there are no guarantees because some people or organizations may not be honest but I’ve also learned that this shouldn’t stop anyone from giving, even a little charity matters, It may not solve everything but it can make small changes in someone’s life.
Charity taught me patience and humility, It taught me to accept that I can’t control everything but I can still try to make a difference, my money may be small but it carries my care, my hope, and my belief that even a little help can change someone’s life.
Giving isn’t always about results, it is about trying, about trusting people and about doing something even if you don’t see the full picture, a little charity given with a sincere heart is always worth it, I always feel happy when I give out the little I have in order to help people who are in need, the smiles I have seen, the hope I have felt, the warmth I have shared these are things no one can take away, in my opinion, charity isn’t about showing off, it’s about touching lives, even in small and quiet ways.

Exactly, we need to draw the line.
In as much as ievery donator have the right to know what their donation is being used for, we should not also be too forward in our attempt of policing the organisers of the donation for evidence of the charity work because it tends to go contrary to the objectives of the donation.
Yes the money we donate may be small but we are happy that it bring smiles to those who donate to. To me I prefer to donate privately so that people won't know I'm the one than doing it publicly because God doesn't appreciate it, giving privately without people knowing you're the one always make God happy and because of that He will bless us more to be able to do more. And also it's better to give the organisation we want to donate to ourselves than sending someone because people nowadays are greedy and self centered.
