One of the household name in Nigeria movie industry whose movies has been consistently impactful is the Wale Adenuga Production (WAP) who produced the weekly series of this popular, captivating and highly knowledgeable T.V. series tagged SUPERSTORY. This is like the first major t.v series i grew up watching especially on a national television been broadcasted.
This weekly t.v. series is based on either true life stories or a fictional write-up with superb story lines which are helpful in educating or enlightening the people about life event, an awareness, a trend that calls for urgent attention and so on. For example, i remembered one of the series titled "One Bad Apple" where a close friend was about snatching her friend's husband because of jealousy which boomeranged later. Also, there is this particular series i loved titled "GRASSCUTTER" which is a true life story of a randy lecturer who by his attrocities died a painful death.
In addition, there is also this T.V. show which is very educative, enlightening and rewarding called "Who wants to be a millionaire". This T.V. show involves contestants been asked questions on different aspects/subjects of life up to the global standard. Each correct response gets the contestant moving to the ultimate price and wrong answer can lead to a termination. Through this show, i appreciate the fact that there is no unsummontable mountain as only one person named Aroma broke the record of winning the ultimate price of #10,000,000 million naira.
I learnt more about current affairs, politics, governance, world and from different sectors, careers aswell as the questions asked cut across. I remembered then that my dad do encourage us to put in our best in our academics then because he believed we too can achieve that or do even better. The T.V movie series also enlightens on different possibilities of life experiences some real while some fictional.
There was a sponsorship issue i think with the "Who wants to be a millionaire" that led to it stoppage then, but now, it has been revamped and it has started again. I loss touch with it when i got admitted into the University and also around that time it was stopped before it began again. For the T.V. series, i also lost touch with part of it during my undergraduate days. But i went ahead to download the complete series of some of them that were released officially on Youtube.
Personally, i believed that there are many educative, quality and transformative programs back then which really help our parents and elderly ones whike there are less of such now but more of really not educative but publicised ones. The quality of exposure to good and quality contents on any media outlet is key us having a sane society as media outlets are powerful and influential which can either make or mar. Now, I'm no longer conversant with those two i mentioned above because there are new and also quality ones now.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is a very educative show, most times I get to know certain things I haven't known before from that show.
I use to watch Super story back then, I watch this life series and they were really educational stuff.
Who wants to be a millionaire is one of my favourite shows too but I stopped watching for some time now... And you are right about these series and shows, we learned a lot from them.

WAP TV series really spiced up our youthful days. And yes, 'who wants to be a millionaire was one TV show we often looked forward to. It was often full of suspense and educative.
