The golden stool is very special in my tribe, and is very sacred to the Ashanti. Kings of Ashanti lives with the tradition of the golden stool. The golden stool is carefully protected.
History has it that no one has sat on the stool and it has not touch the ground since it's arrival.

This golden stool is meant to signify worship of ancestors, welfare and the entire Ashanti nation. As they say, it contains the soul of Ashanti. No one is allowed to sit on this golden stool, this golden stool is well guarded and only brought out during a very special or grand occasions.

It must not come in contact with earth or the ground, it is always lying on the skin of an animal such as leopard.

Ashanti has always defended this golden stool with sacrifices in times when it's safety was threatened. This golden stool is so valued that they will rather loose their king instead of it. The loss of their king is nothing compared to the loos of this golden stool.

This golden stool is sometimes worshipped and adored by the people of Ashanti.

So guys hope you have known one of our beliefs in Ashanti, Ghana. So whenever you hear of Ashanti, the Golden stool should come into your mimd

Thanks for reading, Akwaaba(welcome).
