Hello all my dear friends and seniors in the hive Learners community

Some time ago I have completed stage 01 and today I will proceed to stage 02 which is about "Security keys in hives" (basic knowledge about hives) Before we dive too deep into a platform, of course, we must first understand what and how the system and security are in it, as well as the hive platform, especially what we must understand is about lock or account security, after that the new others, and I have studied it, today I will explain it to all of my friends, if later there are errors or incomplete explanations of my explanation, please provide input so that I can also maintain the security of my account.

Okay well now I will explain or rather answer some questions from our moderator.

In short, hive has 4 keys that we must know, namely the MASTER KEY, ACTIVE KEY, POSTING KEY, and finally the MEMO KEY, where each key has a different function of course, from the very important to the mediocre (not unimportant, because every key is important)

For more detail I will dissect one by one about the 4 key functions above.

  • MASTER KEY
With the master key we can replace other keys, and most importantly we can recover the account if something happens (this is the key I use often)
  • ACTIVE KEY
This button functions for transaction activities, such as when sending tokens we will be asked for this key and also when doing Power UP and Power Down.
  • POSTING KEY
When making a post we can use this key, besides that the post key can also be used to comment and do UPVOTE & DOWNVOTE.
  • MEMO KEY
This key can be used to view or send encrypted messages. (I rarely use it)

If you haven't found or saved the 4 keys, the first thing you have to do is open the swallow, then press keys & permissions, and you will find it there.

you can see an example below 👇

For security in storing passwords, of course everyone has their own way, and I'm sure everyone will consider where they think is safe to store their important keys, what people usually do is save in Google Drive, Email, and many others. and I also keep it in the one I mentioned above (Maybe).

I think what I have said above is sufficient enough to be applied, especially for myself personally, and maybe for all of my friends, and it would be even better if there were other alternatives from other friends that might be even safer in in terms of security in storing password keys it is worth a try too.

Together we provide input for mutual safety and progress in a community, in the end I would like to say thank you very much to all Moderators, especially to @prayzz and @kronias who have given very good directions regarding this stage so that I can understand it and now I've finished it.

THANKS

Good one @fery but I’m surprise you use your owners key more often.. The key you should use more often should be your posting key or your active key for transactions.
