It is important to establish goals in your life so you can get motivation to continue your walking. For example, you are hired to do a certain work to make a certain function. There you have tasks that can be included in goals. Usually, I have short-term goals and long-term goals. Short-term goals are the ones that need to be accomplished in the next weeks. Long-term goals are the ones with a more subjective deadline, it can take months or 1 year. In personal/financial life we can also establish goals in the same way.

We have right now 4 more months to finish the civil year, but there aren't many concrete goals that I established by the end of December. At work, we follow the fiscal year, so my main yearly goals deadline is on March 31st, so I still have some time to finish my goals. In my personal life, I have some short-term goals. An example is our plans for the summer, which were well done and completed in my point of view. We had fun together as a family. Financial goals also have short-term, like having enough money to pay bills, and long-term ones which don't have a specific deadline. But I can say that we did our best to solve all the problems, even with some expenses that we weren't expecting, such as huge dentist bills. Life must go on, right? In that case, I think the most important is that life continues and the year ending doesn't mean that our plans need to be rebooted. At Hive, for example, I am growing every day, and I have some long-term goals that mean that I will continue to power up every month, I don't know where it is going to take me, am I going to be a whale? I wish so, but I know that it is very difficult and for the best of the project, Not everyone will turn into a whale just by posting, maybe only the ones that started in Hive in the beginning have more chances. An Orca could be nice but I still think it is far and far. What I see in my forecast is turning into a Dolphin, still need around 4k HP which is a lot! But I can start to see it closer to this goal with my monthly endogenous production of 100 HP plus my monthly powerups between 50-100 HP. But I know that that isn't a goal for 4 months. And I am not sure how long it will take.

No trabalho, seguimos o ano fiscal, então o prazo principal para minhas metas anuais é 31 de março, então ainda tenho algum tempo para concluir minhas metas. As metas financeiras também têm prazos de curto prazo, como ter dinheiro suficiente para pagar as contas, e metas de longo prazo que não têm um prazo específico. Mas posso dizer que fizemos o nosso melhor para resolver todos os problemas, mesmo com algumas despesas que não estávamos esperando, como contas de dentista altas. A vida continua, não é mesmo? Nesse caso, acho que o mais importante é que a vida continue e o fim do ano não significa que nossos planos precisam ser reiniciados. No Hive, por exemplo, estou crescendo a cada dia, e tenho algumas metas de longo prazo que significam que continuarei a aumentar meu poder a cada mês. Não sei onde isso vai me levar, vou me tornar uma baleia? Eu gostaria, mas sei que é muito difícil e, para o bem do projeto, nem todos se tornarão uma baleia apenas postando, talvez apenas aqueles que começaram no Hive no início tenham mais chances. Uma Orca seria legal, mas ainda acho que está muito distante. O que vejo no meu prognóstico é me tornar um Golfinho, ainda preciso de cerca de 4.000 HP, o que é muito! Mas começo a ver isso mais perto desse objetivo com minha produção mensal de 100 HP mais meus power-ups mensais entre 50-100 HP. Mas sei que isso não é uma meta para 4 meses. E não tenho certeza de quanto tempo levará.
The goals that I needed to accomplish during this year are still being completed until the end of the year and they will continue with that, I am not used to making any type of goal within exactly 12 months from January to December. But I can see many good things that happened this year for us that initially weren't specific year goals, such as installing solar panels at home, helping my two daughters to grow, such as school and other types of life learnings, and trying to solve problems that appeared in our life. Some of them we already solved it, some still not but I don't like to add a stringent deadline for those sometimes. I prefer doing the best that we can until this moment.
As metas que eu precisava cumprir durante este ano ainda estão sendo concluídas até o final do ano e continuarão assim. Não estou acostumado a fazer metas específicas para exatamente 12 meses, de janeiro a dezembro. Mas consigo ver muitas coisas boas que aconteceram este ano para nós, que inicialmente não eram metas específicas do ano, como instalar painéis solares em casa, ajudar minhas duas filhas a crescerem, seja na escola ou em outros tipos de aprendizado na vida, e tentar resolver problemas que surgiram em nossa vida. Alguns deles já resolvemos, outros ainda não, mas não gosto de impor prazos rigorosos para essas coisas às vezes. Prefiro fazer o melhor que podemos até o momento.
It is common for organizations to use a fiscal year that is offset by the calendar year. It is probably a good idea for individuals to do the same.
Bureaucracies like to use the calendar year to group things. For example, the tax commission likes working by year because it allows them to sort transactions by calendar date.
Bureaucrats in the Northern Hemisphere set the calendar to switch over in the middle of the Winter as Winter is a slow time for agricultural concerns. This is probaly a huge hassle for concerns in the Southern Hemisphere which must use the same calendar for international trade.
Anyway.I think your premise that people shouldn't set their goals according to the calendar year. Since txx collectors work on a calendar year, one should focus on tax strategies in December and use a different date for assessing personal goals.
People who use the same date for their taxes and goals are likely to make their goals subservient to tax policy

Yep you got it! You have a similar objective vision about that , that's cool! But I totally understand who wants to make December goals, such as, in this year I am going to lose weight, lol...it is a way to motivate themselves. In my point of view losing weight, or keeping healthy should be a continuous goal without an end ;) . But you are right that the only thing that is important that I didn't mention is to create a new folder for the new tax year lol, live in a bureaucracy and you turn into bureaucratic as well lol.

Well, I do not take the yearly goals seriously but I am now doing that because it helps and motivates you to work hard for what you want to achieve before the end of the year
