everything we do in life has a price
If we take steps, we are paying price. If we did not take steps we are also paying price, so we need to take steps and pay the Price.

is because greatness does not come by impartation
it does not come by laying on hands and legs
it does not come merely wishing all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have success.
