Hello splinterlands lovers, how are you doing today? The end of the season is far approaching and I am very happy about that. I have been stiving to get more season reward chests; but it seems impossible like last season of which my season rewards were 21. The battles are getting tougher these days; therefore, it is very difficult to achieve my target. I believe I can still achieve 21 season reward chests before the end of the season.
Equalizer ruleset is one of the exciting rules to play with in splinterlands; but when using a weaker monster in this type of ruleset, it is going to affect your performance; and such a player will have less chance of winning the battle.
I have encountered Equalizer ruleset in battles; and I was defeated when I did not arrange my monsters very well.
There was a day I came with a weak plan- most of the range monsters I used in that battle had one or two magic attacks; and my opponent used a summoner with silence ability which reduced all my magic attacks to one.
The opponent was very smart, he read my battle arrangement and knew what I would use in that battle. He used Prismatic Energy that reflected on all my monsters; as my magic monsters were attacking, the reflection also damaging the health of my monsters. That was how I lost the battle.
Another factor of Equalizer is that it depends on the other rules that attach to the Equalizer. If you are giving an Equalizer with super sneak rule, just the way I was given in this battle today, you just have to be clinical in selecting monsters. I selected melee attack monsters in this battle because melee monsters can attack in this battle because of the super sneak rule.
There was one super sneak battle I watched today; in that battle, loss of legendary and keep your distance were also part of the rules. I was really happy with the way the winner arranged his monsters, and I am looking forward to arranging my monsters like that whenever such rules are given to me.
The winner understood that melee monsters were not allowed in the battle, he used a summoner that reduced the range attack and speed of opponent monsters; selected Naga Assassin with swiftness and backfire. The selection of Naga Assassin increased the speed of all friendly monsters by +1, which gave the friendly monsters advantage to attack faster in the battle. That was how he won the battle.
My battle wasn’t like that, I was given two rulesets which are:
Super Sneak: All melee attack monsters have the sneak ability.✔️
The super Sneak Rule made me select monsters with higher melee attack such as Grund and Quora Towershead- attacking twice in this battle was my priority.
Equalizer: The initial health of all monsters is equal to that of the monster on either team with the highest based health. ✔️

BATTLE LINEUP
Helios Matriarch
Splinter: Dragon Summoner

Abilities
-Additional of one Gladiator card
+1 speed
+1 speed and one gladiator Card was the major reason used this summoner; I knew it would allow me to use Quora Towershead which was part of my plan.
In addition, I knew I needed speed in this battle, the speed gave me advantage to attack faster in this battle.
Fungus Funger
Splinter: Earth
Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: Martyr
By the time this monster died, adjacent monster got +1 additional stats. Quora Towershead Glory was revealed more. And that was the reason I placed in in the first position.
I understand that Fungus funger cannot attack in this first position because it is a range monster; martyr ability was very important to me in this battle.
By the time Fungus Funger was killed in the second round, Quora Towershaed magic attack increased to 3 while her melee attack increased to 4.
Quora Towershaed
Splinter: Earth
Level: 1⭐
Abilities

I knew that Quora Towershead could attack with magic and melee attack in nay position in this battle, and placing it in the second position was the best due to monster with martyr ability in the first position.
When Quora Towershead killed Pelacor Mercenary, her stats increased by +1 which gave her more power and when Fungus Funger was killed, her stats increased by +1.
Quora Towershead Was afflicted by Goblin Psychic of which i was still hope that the affliction would not be very happy. Immediately she got to the first position, it was afflicted and could not heal herself again. This was the reason she got eliminated in round 3.
Grund
Splinter: Earth
Level: 1⭐
Ability: double strike
Attacking twice triggered me to call this monster into action; each time Grund attacked in this battle, 6 health were damaged from target. This quality was what Drawn my attention to Grund.
Grund was eliminated in round 5, and by the time the monster was eliminated, only two monsters were left in my opponent lineup while I was left with three monsters.
Flesh Golem
Splinter: Earth
Level: 4⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ability: healing
Flesh Gole healing ability made me select him. This monster has the ability to regain his health each time the health was damaged. Even when opponent monsters attack Flesh Golem, it would be able to delay for sometimes.
Stone Golem
Splinter: Earth
Level: 1⭐
Ability: Shield
Since one of the rules was super sneak which gave melee monsters opportunity to attack from behind; I used Golem Flesh to defend my back line in case my opponent use melee attack.
The shield ability would have reduced damage from melee attack if there were melee monsters attacking from behind which would have delayed from killing other monsters in my lineup.

Fill the last pot and delay the attack from behind.

In conclusion, Equalizer is one of the rules that require a strong monster in battles, it needs strategic plan to win your opponent, and it requires you to read the game so that you can know what your opponent is coming with.
I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself from being successful.
