Last year my husband travelled to Abuja for a conference and within the days they were all taken out to see some key places of the city. One of the places they where taken to was the ministry of art and culture. There you get to see lots of amazing images, I knew all these because we were in conversation through out the time he was there and he kept describing and showing them to me. A times one may wonder how manage people got the inspiration to do all these
One thing I have come to understand is that people are different and there are lots of gifts and career that one possess and this is one of the many things that make us unique as we different from one person to another.
There is a college of education here where I stay and on several occasions I have paid some visit to that area and I see good images too which most of them was sculptures made by students of different categories.
On a daily basis when I take my kids to school, when we get to a particular place they get to see an image of a man, my children keep calling the image Goliath because they image have a good height and it reminds them of there bible study character Goliath who was defeated by David the shepherd boy.
Art is truly good and it helps us to remember a lot of things. For every image there is an inspiration behind it. Some of these inspiration maybe generally acceptable while some of them may not because of what it represents. Images that promotes worship to God, leaving happily in the society and love for one another should be promoted.
There are images that promotes violence, sexual abuse and other wrong things, things as this should be discouraged because what we get to see on a regular have a way it affects of. We get meditate constantly over what we see and before you know of it get begins to minister to us. If it is of the positive good things will flow from it but if it is of the he negative, the same will happen.
An art is cheap does not mean it Carry's less message than the one with a higher amount. I have come to see people who worship images because of the artist that is drawn which is their favorite and even when it's is of less value but because they have idolized such a person they go all out to get it, that also have to do with clothes which their favourite artist is a brand ambassador.
Love for an art should not be done while the mind is kept aside, it is important to be sensible in whatever we do because it goes a long way to affect us. This is why I always encourage people around me to be wise in all they do because it is a seed and there is no farmer that espects the seed planted not to grow.
