There is a need to air your opinion and need to make it known, it is important to let it out because either things going on does not sit well with you or vice versa that way you prevent being led the wrong path.
Everyone is entitled to their individual opinion, sometimes those opinions do not align well with us, and sometimes those opinions can be nice.
However, if the solution to those opinions is to harass or fight them all because it does not sit well with us then we are certainly threatening the freedom of speech
We all get to express our thoughts, ideas, and opinions without restraint all because of the principle guiding freedom of speech.
But as easy as freedom of speech is, it now comes with some restrictions because not all opinions sit well with people in power.
People are now under limitations on what to say because of fear of the consequences.
This affect in so many ways like
One thing freedom of speech brings is a fair and equal society but having restrictions on some while some get to air every of their opinions makes the society becomes unequal
Why do we have to restrict some things to be said if not for the fear of letting the truth out.
Some restrictions are made just to prevent truth.
Freedom of speech is nice and fair likewise freedom of speech does not protect one from the consequence of saying stupid things
There are limitations to freedom of speech these included.
Not everywhere we find ourselves we have the right to express sometimes we just need sit calm and observe.
How we let our speech is also to be considered, if the speech is of great value and expressed in a very bad way rather than receiving accolades it might as well end us in trouble.

It is okay to express ourselves when we feel the need to, the only important thing is to consider the manner, time, and place we are doing such to prevent receiving trouble instead of accolades.
It's very good that you mentioned the conditions that restrict the freedom of speech.
But still, the freedom of speech is one of the most fundamental human rights and should not be tampered with.

I believe that we are been deprived of that right and that's why we can't stop bad habits from growing in the society, everyone will be silent when they know heads will role for saying the truth.

Your post just reminded me of a scene I saw in a movie when President Nixon of the United States swallowed a truth bug. I could no longer tell lies and the whole of history was wrecked because Nixon couldn't tell a lie.

Many are deprived of speaking even when we all have the freedom to air our opinions but it doesn´t sit well with most of them. Though we need to limit ourselves to what we can say or not say especially in public because not all words are to be disclosed. It´s important to think well before speaking out so one doesn´t implicate himself or herself. I came through Dreemport.
