Chicken Yakhni- Chicken Broth ( A Nutritional Powerhouse)

in Hive Learnerslast month

Hello Hive Family. Happy Sunday ! Today in my city of Multan, the weather is cold and cloudy. Yesterday, there was heavy rain. Because of this, I'm feeling like I need something flavorful to warm me up. Feeling a bit chilly, I decided to make a dish that has been passed down from our ancestors. My grandmother used to make it for us when we were sick. This is my entry for the #creativeSunday Contest Initiative started by #Hivelearners.

Chicken yakhni is a great soup that helps when you're sick, especially in winter. We mostly use it as a soothing and healing tonic in our culture. It is a great source of strength and immunity. It's not just a warm comforting drink but is also good for everything from colds to cough, It's easy to make with just a few ingredients. Lots of people like it, even if they're new to cooking. It comes from India and has been around for a long time. It's a bit tricky to make, but not too hard. Each spice adds its own special taste, making the soup really yummy.
Ingredients:

Chicken 500 gms

Onions 1 Medium size (sliced)

Ginger +Garlic 1 table spoon (Paste)

Tomatoes 1 Medium size
Water 2 Glass of water (500 ml)
Oil 3 Table Spoon
Salt 1 Tea Spoon
Black Pepper 1 Tea Spoon

Chicken yakhni isn't just tasty; it's also good for you. Ingredients like oil, ginger, garlic, and onions make it healthy. They help your heart and make your body stronger. Chicken gives you protein, and using pieces with bones adds even more good stuff. Spices like black cardamom, cinnamon, garam masala, and cumin are also good for you.

Chicken yakhni isn't just about filling your tummy; it also makes you feel good inside. When you cook it, it smells really nice because of the ingredients like oil, ginger, garlic, and onions. Chicken makes the soup thick and satisfying. Spices like black cardamom, cinnamon, garam masala, and cumin add lots of flavor and warmth. Whether it's a rainy day or a tough time, a bowl of chicken yakhni makes you feel better. It's not just food; it's like a warm hug.
How to make the chicken yakhni?:

Put the all ingredients (chicken, onions, ginger garlic paste and one glass of water) in pan and cover it for 15 minutes.

After that add the tomatoes slices in the pan and stir it and again cover it for 3 minutes. Add in 3 table spoon oil and let them saute for 4 to 5 mins. Season salt and black pepper. Sauté for another 1 min.

Now add in 1 glass of water and cover the pan with lid. Let it cook on very low heat for at least 10 mins. Mix well. The ultimate chicken yakhni is ready.

Serve it with any bread of your choice.

You can enjoy it the traditional way by adding pieces of bread into the yakhni. The bread soaks up all the yakhni, giving you full energy.

I hope you like the recipe. Thank you so much for reading.
