RE: America, the home of the free?

I think the photo of your kids is perfect, one seems to express the cunfoosion of our nation like "doh! What did he say?"
The other one with her hand to her face seems almost hopeless.

Both of those expressions fit me perfectly most days.

I really hate to say this, but I've about given up on ever having anything of real, good substance come out of Warshington De Cappo, (see what I did there? I'm a ♫♪Musician♫♪)
When I got my disability settlement, I seriously considered emigrating to NZ and becoming a KIWI, but they have their problems too, and the crap always seems to roll down hill from Del Cappo.

I am not HOPELESS by any means, but almost apolitical now. Prior to T-Rump I was a staunch conservative; still am, but I'm afraid the party will not ever get past the damage he has and is continuing to do.

Disclaimer; these are just my opinions.

We are from S Ga USA and one of my sisters married a Hungarian guy from Oh., moved up there and had a plethora of children.
So I am at your service. This post is

Self Portrait from about 1978

Nice to meet you @grindan , I've followed you. In fact, I have many family members in O-High-O, who are right now trying to gather for a family reunion in Columbus (I think)

Wow, what a great comment! It is wonderful to meet you @jerrytsuseer, you seem like a fascinating man :)! Has anyone ever told you that you look a bit like Alexander Skarsgaard in your self-portrait? Reminds me of how he looks in the film Mute. What a talented drawing!

You made me laugh with the description of my children's faces, perhaps the photo was just right!
I can relate to living in a mixed batch of the feelings expressed in this photo haha

I'm basically apolitical myself as well. It can be hard to align yourself with any party these days, that's for sure! Ethical and moral lines that were once clearly defined to me have become murky. I'm sure part of that is the experience of age, but I can credit many of those dilemmas to the strange times we have had these last handful of years! I find it best to just focus in on being a helpful part of my community and raising kids that I think will be good people. I can get lost in the news cycles far too easily!

It's funny that you have family in Ohio, because I have family in GA! My uncle lives there :)

Thank you for stopping by and leaving this wonderful comment, and for the follow!
