He means to take time to actually engage in order to make a statement and not engage to fulfill righteousness. It's not a bad comment, but then you can be empathetical and show the man you've actually read the content. It's probably one of the things. Engagement speaks volumes and some people take it for granted and wonder why mountains aren't moving on their behalf.

Well said! There sure are things to take away and discuss on, even questions to ask, from works published by authors.
The way to connect with the mind of an authour and spur them to have meaningful interactions with them is by quality engagement.
