Hahaha a man after my heart. In reality, I think you've said it all, the universe isn't fair to everyone and we cannot wait to be lucky when we can actually prepare ourselves for luck to happen to us. I think sometimes our intentions matters a lot and this is something we must understand too. The intention to grow is selfless and sometimes it impacts the ordinary people in ways they wouldn't understand. Building a symbiotic process is important sometimes.
Hive is a reflection of reality if you ask me, it's pure grinding.

If you ask me too, I'd say the same thing: Hive is a reflection of reality. You just get to see people mirrored in their work with their attitudes and intentions (like you have said).
Intentions are the basic foundation of our every motive. But I believe that intentions change, and they can do so quite easily. I think right after intentions, having the propensity to chase growth matters too. That way, people remain true to their "intentions" by feeling the natural tendency to always long for progress.
