Of course, when we talk about money, this may seem tempting as an incentive for students to achieve specific goals, as we have two situations: a low-income student would be able to greatly improve their quality of life with this reward, which, for example, could be financial help for your home, or for your dreams, because the energy we have when we are motivated is different, it seems that everything starts to flow better, you end up focusing and dedicating yourself more to that dream, something that without motivation, the Sometimes they may be tired, or even the student's family may be going through difficulties and this ends up directly impacting their performance. I once heard a phrase that went something like this: “Money doesn't bring happiness, but the lack of it certainly makes you happy. It will bring problems” and it is a reality.
However, we must also have some important concerns to consider when we think about implementing this type of reward strategy, for example, one of them refers to the potential for demotivating students who are unable to achieve the same goals as others, feeling unfairly treated and this causing even emotional problems, another important point is the risk of creating a mindset that “but I will only study if I gain something, otherwise I will leave it aside”, as we know that proactivity and the search for knowledge are very important, after all This motivates humanity to this day, the thirst for the unknown, always seeking better technologies and achievements.

Hoje vamos trazer um debate bem importante que atualmente inclusive está acontecendo no meu país, inclusive é algo que tem sido muito debatido ao longo dos anos no mundo, sobre recompensas em dinheiro para motivar os estudantes, enquanto vemos muitas pessoas defendendo com unhas e dentes que isso vai ser eficaz para incentivar os alunos a se dedicarem mais e com isso concluírem tarefas e melhor seu desempenho, outros apontam preocupações sobre o quão isso pode ter efeitos negativos em vez de benefícios no longo prazo.
Claro que quando falamos sobre dinheiro, isso pode parecer tentador como incentivo para alunos alcançarem metas específicas, pois aí temos duas situações, um aluno de baixa renda, conseguiria melhorar e muito sua qualidade de vida com essa recompensa, o que por exemplo poderia ser uma ajuda financeira para sua casa, ou para seus sonhos, pois a energia que a gente tem quando está motivado é outra, parece que tudo começa a fluir melhor, você acaba focando e se dedicando mais para aquele sonho, coisa que sem a motivação, as vezes pode estar cansado, ou até mesmo a família do estudante pode estar passando por dificuldades e isso acaba impactando diretamente seu desempenho, uma vez ouvi uma frase que dizia mais ou menos assim: “dinheiro não traz felicidade, mas com certeza a falta dele lhe trará problemas” e é uma realidade.
Porém também devemos ter algumas preocupações importantes para ser consideradas quando pensamos em implementar esse tipo de estratégia de recompensa, por exemplo, uma delas é referente ao potencial de desmotivar os alunos que não conseguirem atingir os mesmo objetivos que os outros se sentirem injustiçados e isso causar até mesmo problemas emocionais, outro ponto importante é o risco de criar um mindset que “a mas só vou estudar se eu ganhar alguma coisa, se não deixo de lado”, pois sabemos que é muito importante a proatividade e a busca de conhecimento, afinal isso motiva a humanidade até hoje, a sede pelo desconhecido, buscando sempre uma melhores tecnologias e conquistas.
Equilíbrio é tudo, diante dos prós e contras é importante adotar uma abordagem equilibrada, uma sugestão de manter o equilíbrio é buscar formas de combinar incentivos financeiros com reconhecimento e valorização do conhecimento em si, quem nunca gostou de receber um certificado ou um elogio, é bom demais a sensação de sentir que alguém reconheceu ser esforço de ter ido atrás de conhecimento, também é possível que tenha algum cenário de oportunidade na própria instituição, com cargos de líder de turma, conselhos, ou até mesmo alguma forma de “estágios” na própria instituição buscando criar e reter talentos, pois isso é uma forma de promover um constante crescimento da instituição, outra forma importante, seria também dar oportunidade e criar um orçamento para que os melhores alunos conseguirem colocar em prática suas teorias, já pensou que podemos ter um grande cientista, um grande escritor, um novo escultor, enfim as formas para explorar estas oportunidades são muitas.
