This is my first entry in this community writing about digital relationship I find it easy to express my heartful and my experience because of the present era we are into, has made available access to connect yourself with other people digitally.
Social networking has enabled people to connect with each other via the internet. Sometimes, members of a social networking service do know all, or many of their "friends" (Facebook) or "connections" (LinkedIn) etc. in person. However, sometimes internet relationships are formed through these services, including but not limited to: Facebook, Myspace, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, DeviantArt, Xanga and Discord.
Most distance relationships now work out well because of the digital age and distance is never a barrier, because you can frequently call and even see face to face and being caught up with every sensentional feeling's among lovers and friends.
"Social networking service" is a very broad term, branching out to websites based on many different aspects. One aspect that is possible on all social networking sites is the possibility of an internet relationship. These sites enable users to search for new connections based on location, education, experiences, hobbies, age, gender, and more. This allows individuals meeting each other to already have some characteristic in common. These sites usually allow for people who do not know each other to "add" each other as a connection or friend and to send each other messages. This connection can lead to more communication between two individuals. An immense amount of information about the individuals can be found directly on their social network profile. Proving those individuals include plentiful and accurate information about themselves, people in online relationships can find out much about each other by viewing profiles and "about me's". Communication between individuals can become more frequent, thus forming some type of relationship via the internet. This relationship can turn into an acquaintance, a friendship, a romantic relationship, or even a business partnership.
According to the Cambridge English Dictionary-the 20th edition, social media is a form of electronic communication that allows people to share information using the internet or mobile phones. Rouse (2020), equally defines the social media as a collective term for websites and applications which focus on communication, community –based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration.The different types of social media are normally dedicated to forums,micro blogging, social networking, social bookmaking, social curation, and wikis (the Cambridge dictionary). Standing on the above definitions, I define the social media as a technical platform of the 21st century that makes for exchange of ideas, information sharing,

electronic transactions, political campaigns, networking of relationships and peace building among a spectrum of social media users. Upon this platform, the contemporary youths and considerable number of the aged have transited from the old, restricted era wherein people live like fish in the well, into a universal village-hood wherein people sit at home and watch the whole world through either their Smart phones or the TV, as the case may be. One can therefore, not over-emphasize the gargantuan roles the social media has played in the socialization, education, commercialization, unification and so forth of the globe in general.
