The future cannot be seen , but we humans work towards a future that we cannot see , we focus making it seems as though we have all figured out
Most even before we breath our first breath, everything has been chosen for us by our parents or guardians while some are left to choose their own path .
As some do not get to choose to choose institution of learning or our career.
Lots of people are in nursing school, law department, engineering department etc before that path / career was chosen for us , it’s assumed that it is the best for us because that what they want for us .
Our parents and guardians having figured out things for us is not that bad because might clock fifty or might be about to reach the grave before they have things figured out for themselves
Though it’s not fair to have to figure to figure it without actually knowing what life is or what life is all about
I might a woman in her early sixties she is a widow and has children she told me a story
In her words she said if she had known that the world will be like this or that things will change she would have gotten a skill , she said while growing up their parents did their best to give them a formal education that’s everyone of them can write their names and pronouns it after that if you wanted to further more they would assist you, if you choose to be a father just like them they will help you in any possible way they can , she choose to farm and work after some years working as a farmer for a company she got married and now that her husband is late she’s all alone the farm work is stressful no skills to help just maybe she had figured out things earlier or her parents did figured it out for her she might not fully regret everything .
I also had a friend who is into a profession that he’s not interested in and that he might not use it in the future, he told me that at the end of this study he will drop the certificate for them and tell them that he has gotten the certificate, let him follow his own path . This is someone that everything he want is given to him even extra just for him to be in this profession , He is going through these path because it’s was chosen for him .
So at the end it is not about having to figure things out
On our own or our parents or guardians doing it for us . For me it’s about the encouragement we get from the elderly ones around us , it’s about them teaching holding our hands and directing our steps because they were there way longer before we came
And let’s us always remember that life itself is a mystery most times it doesn’t go as planned
