So What is The Prominent Author of The Week About?
The aim of the Prominent Author of the Week is to reward five great contents of authors shared from our weekly prompts in the community. This way, we get to encourage authors to be more active and try to be the best they can be in their content creation.
How Would The Initiative Run?
- 5 Posts/Authors would be selected from the weekly prompts (including creative sunday posts) every week
- Every Thursday night, we would be sharing announcements for the five winning authors
- All five selected authors would be rewarded with lazy-panda curation trail upvotes.
My contribution for preserving the planet
In this post, this author @amberkashif tells us about her recycling process in her home. The author gives us a breakdown of how she always makes sure to separate different items and recycle them. The author also goes further to tell us about how she not only recycled but also upcycles some things and how it has helped in making them spend less when it comes to certain things like books.
Are We Heading Towards a Future Like WALL-E’s? / ¿Nos espera el mismo futuro que a WALL-E?
This author @ladyaryastark also talks about recycling. The author tells us about certain things that make recycling a bit difficult for them, due to the fact that most people now only make use of single-use plastic to package things. But the author goes further to tell us about how they always try their best to encourage their customers to make use of durable bags, or how they themselves make sure to use wrappers from other products to package certain things, to help avoid the unnecessary use of disposable plastic bags.
Monetizing Social Media is a double edge sword
In this post, this author talks about social media and the negative impact it has on people ever since it has been monetized, and according to the author, he feels the negative impact of it can be reduced if the government could put stricter rules on some things like cyber bullying and also cyber attacks.
In this post, this author @justfavour talks about recycling. The author tells us a story of the first time he saw people gathering plastics and metals and had always wondered what it was used for. He goes further to tell us that he eventually ended up learning about how to recycle certain plastics and use them to make beautiful stuff like the handbag he made for his friend.

This author @gwajnberg also talks about social media and the reward system and according to the author, monetizing social media isn't the worst thing that has happened to social media, especially when it comes to spreading fake news. According to the author, there has always been fake news, even before social media, so rather than blame social media for it, the author feels people have to be more careful and do more research on things before going ahead to believe everything they see online.
