The day I saw someone washing his tank and the amount of dirt in it, I stopped drinking borehole water o ๐ many people haven't washed their tanks for years, but for people that was their own regularly (at least twice a year), it's ok to drink the water
Truth be told, the rottenness in some of those tanks are nothing to write home about. The first time we washed the one in our compound when I got there, it was totally messy.
