Para entender bien esto vamos a partir de los conceptos, según el diccionario Oxford Languages:
Centralizar: verbo transitivo
- Reunir cosas distintas o de diversa procedencia en un lugar común o bajo una misma dirección.
- Asumir un poder central las atribuciones y funciones políticas y administrativas que corresponden a un poder local o regional
Descentralizar: verbo transitivo
- Hacer que una cosa deje de depender de una dirección central.
Antónimo: centralizar- Traspasar poderes y funciones del gobierno central a organismos autonómicos.

Las definiciones están bien claras, centralización se refiere a cuando una persona, institución u organización tiene todo el poder sobre algo, y la descentralización es todo lo contrario, mientras más implicados en la toma de decisiones, mayor es la descentralización.
Ejemplos claros:

En Hive sucede lo mismo, el contenido que compartimos debe ser original, y si empleamos, palabras, imágenes, música o cualquier otro recurso debemos siempre citar a la fuente y verificar los derechos de autor para no incurrir en plagio.
- Mendigar votos
Es una práctica que consiste en citar en nuestros artículos a usuarios con gran poder de voto o a comunidades y/o proyectos de curación, sin ninguna necesidad real, con la intención de obtener su voto. Esto, además de ser de mal gusto, puede crearnos una mala reputación.
- Post-reciclaje
Esta práctica es muy común en la Web 2, reciclar el contenido, o sea publicarlo más de una vez, ya sea en su totalidad o en fragmentos, para obtener más interacción con el mínimo esfuerzo. En Hive, al tener la posibilidad de monetizar el contenido, esta práctica se considera abuso de la plataforma, pues lo que debemos es crear contenido original.
