Each region has its own traditional ceremony, in various regions of course different traditional customs. I take this opportunity to share traditional ceremonies in my area, I am a man born in Aceh, Indonesia. In Aceh, there are many traditional customs that are still believed in and survive until now, this traditional custom is a relic of the ancestors from the past and until now it still survives and cannot be missed by the Acehnese of course. we have, one of which is Peusijuek which is one of the traditions of the Acehnese people from the past until now. The Peusijuek ceremony is a custom from Islamic tradition that is often done by the community.

In other languages Peusijuek is also often called flouring offer. This is a procession that is often carried out in certain activities by the Acehnese people, such as Peusijuek in marriage ceremonies, Peusijuek in ceremonies to migrate or leave their homes and go to seek sustenance, Peusijuek ceremonies live in a new house, Peusijuek qurban, Peusijuek people who are surprised by something, Peusijuek accidents and also Peusijuek for getting other luck.

If we talk about Peusijuek this cannot be separated from the history of Islam in Aceh. Karema is a customary habit in Acehnese society which is always made not to conflict with Islam which is still being preserved until now.

Peusijuk Philosophy

Ordinary people or people aged 25 and under usually Peusijuek only routine or frequent activities even though they still believe in it, because most people don't know the meaning or meaning of the word Peusijuek, usually **Peusijuek activities ** This is done by old people who have mastered the knowledge about it then people who have advantages in society, for example like Tengku or Ustadz.

In the process that must be carried out in the Peusijuek ceremony, of course those who want to do it must invite figures who have high religious knowledge, as I said above, namely Tengku. Then the person holding the peusijuk must prepare some materials to be able to carry out the ceremony. This is the material that must be prepared, the leaves and rereputan iji can symbolize harmony, harmony and beauty. The next ingredients that must be prepared are rice and rice, which are considered as or symbolizing fertility, prosperity and strength. The last ingredients that must be prepared are water and glutinous rice flour as a symbol of brotherhood and tranquility. In the process of doing it Tengku or Ustadz will sprinkle water to the left and also to the right, rice and paddy will be sprinkled then flour and sticky rice will be applied to the left and right ears of the person having the event. Then after that Tengku will say a prayer to always be given the salvation of the hereafter by God Almighty, given peace, and also facilitated his sustenance.

From the Peusijuek ceremony, the Acehnese can conclude that Peusijuek is one of the rituals that the Acehnese believe in religion, because Peusijuek has religious values. I think almost all Acehnese have been to Peusijuek. because the first Peusijuek for a person is when he is 44 days old after doing Peusijuek.

That is the belief of the people of Aceh, Indonesia, which cannot be missed in the Peusijuek ceremony. I hope all friends can enjoy this article from me. See you in my next post and keep on being excited to take part in the HIVE LEARNERS contest.
