Sometimes when I listen to the news of what's happening in Nigeria it saddens my heart that I'm a Nigerian. Why did my Creator make me a Nigerian? I can't fathom why I'm not born as an American, European or an Australian or anywhere else where their system is working.

Here in Nigeria nothing seems to be working despite the fact that we are running democratic system of government couple with the fact that we are blessed with natural resources. We are supposed to be one of the richest nations in the world but the reverse is the case.
Nigeria is wallowing in debts and her citizens are swimming in poverty all because of the greediness of those criminals we choose (did we even choose them ) as our leaders.
With the way politicians and public office holders embezzles money from Nigeria if it's were to be another country, I don't think the country will still be in existence till today. There are more than enough resources here in Nigeria that can better our lives but greed has made us poor.
I wonder what the government is really doing because the situation of the country isn't improving at all, it's as if as a new government is emerging then retrogression is happening.
It is sad that the percentage of people living in affluence is minimal whereas there are a large percentage of people suffering and in their suffering the government still collects from them. Tagging it as taxes to generate revenue for the stagnant government.
Although Nigeria claimed to be practicing democratic system of government but it's a big lie. Our democracy isn't for the people by the people and for the people. It is a government influence majorly for the rich, it favours those that are rich and the politicians.

Getting the basic needs for survival requires struggling. You can't get anything here without connection, it's only those things that the politicians don't have flare for that you can get so easily here.
Its only the children of the masses that will be advice to join the army while the children of the politicians will study abroad then come back to use the money their fathers has embezzled to rig elections again....this is just so pathetic.
Democracy hasn't been of much help to we Nigerians because we have no right to anything even ordinary election which should be our power is being rigged to fall in their favour.
What other form of government do you feel would be better for the prosperity of your nation?
If anyone asks me this question, my reply will be that I don't know. If I say the military should take over not all military regimes are favourable. Some can be so wicked that life will be like hell to the citizens.
Nigeria has experienced a military regime that wasn't favourable and we had also experienced a better military regime but the head of state then was assassinated for being a man of integrity.
But I think maybe we should try a military regime because this democracy of a thing isn't working at all. In short, Iets take the risk and if it turn out to be better than democracy then we should thank our star for getting it right at last.

But I think with the military regime there will be a little caution. People will adjust and behave normal more than what we have seen so far
