Education is not like the way it use to be, people now toy with going to school because bribery and corruption had also creped into it just like the other sector. Unlike in the olden days when education is being taken with care and utmost priority, when you see a graduate you give them the respect they duly deserve.
Any family that has a learned person those days was been worshiped because they are the most influential and can help others solve their problems, to the extent that people living close to a graduate parents calls them according to their children's profession. Their parents also boast of their children's accomplishments of being a graduate and works in a well respected government establishment.
But nowadays, the reverse is the case, my generation has seen schooling as a burden and counted it as been worthless because of the ill treatments graduates are encountering.
The irresponsible government in my country had a blame in this as well. You see graduates walking up and down with CV's without a job. Most graduates now end up in jobs that can't even pay one out of a semester tuition fees they had paid in school while others end up in the street as commercial drivers, dragging things with touts all because of inadequate job creation by the government.
Even the advent of social media has made lots of youths see getting degrees as a waste of effort all because they can make money even without having a certificate.

A lot of us are seeing what a lot of people are doing all around with this social media of a thing, you can't advise someone to go to school now because you have a certificate. They will first ask you how much are you earning as a graduate? And you can't blame them, getting degrees nowadays isn't worth the effort because majority of graduates are underpaid.
If Mr A spent 4 years in the university and graduated and Mr B who is Mr A's friend went and learned a trade without going to school for 4 years. I bet with you Mr B will be able to feed Mr A conveniently because he has started making money and Mr A doesn't even know how to get a befitting job that will suit his taste.
So I think the best thing for school system to do in other to improve the system is to infuse more practical works in the way students are being trained and not always theories.
When students are able to learn skills alongside learning that will prepare students ahead for the outside world and not be left stranded in the world when white collar job isn't coming. Getting the degrees and skills will be a plus for them to navigate through.
Therefore, education to me isn't a scam, it just needs a little touch that will make it fit into what's presently happening in the world today.

Most students don't understand why government had to introduce entrepreneurship in academic syllabus, making it mandatory or a selective subject for all course in higher institution. The government is aware of the situation of the country, they came up with this subject to remind people the need to nurture entrepreneurship mindset and skills, just to combat the challenges of joblessness.
The introduction is a welcome development because knowledge of vocational training is needed in this kind of situation
It is true that the title would not be useful, but it would depend on the context. It may be that for other places or opportunities you will do better without a title, but I know that for other positions it is an essential requirement or the ability to climb the ladder.
