RE: It's all about love!!

I believe in principle that the treatment given to an older adult depends on the upbringing and the values instilled in the children. There are parents who think about their children's freedom, they are working people and want to be self-sufficient when they become seniors and bother their children as little as possible, unfortunately there are others who think the opposite.

During our whole life we worked and acquired the right to obtain a pension from the state, but in my country Venezuela there are many elderly people working because the amount of their pensions is 3.55 dollars. This is where the children and even the grandchildren help their relatives, otherwise these people would not cover neither medical expenses nor their daily sustenance.

The love and care that we instilled in our children as children is irremediably returned to us, and if they want to help their parents, this help is welcome.

Wow, the pension in your nation is very little, it could barely sustain someone for a day, well in my nation these pensions are kinda higher though, some earn up to 40. Dollars in a month that could be able to sustain the older parents for a while.

Yeah, you're very correct It is the upbringing of the child that matters if the child grows up to take care of his or her parents or not, but then the child should be able to support the age parents in any way they could.
