In this beautiful world we live in, there are many different stressful activities. With every action taken by the body, calorie is burnt. Even when eating food to get energy, we stress our mouth by chewing and burning some calorie through that process.

Stress is something that has existed for a very long time. I think right from the day we are born. Interestingly, humans are not the only ones that pass through stress. Even animals too, sometimes, get stressed out.
According to a lecture attended while in school, there are two basic type of stress. Distress, and Eustress. The lecture explained how distress is the bad stress while Eustress is a good stress. Nonetheless, its important that we understand those stressful situations and learn how to manage ourselves during them.
This post is an entry for hive learners prompt, Avoiding stress. In this prompt, I would share whether or not it is possible to avoid stress. I would also share a story of how I was impacted when I tried to avoid stress.
Everybody has probably experienced stress some time in their life. However, the difference between our experience is the degree of stress we experienced at a give point in time. The degree of stress Mr A experiences in a point in time may be greatly different from the degree of stress that Mr B experienced in the same point in time, and in the same situation.
Personally, I don't really think that stress can be avoided. As humans, we have one thing or the other that troubles us. Some are physical, some are mental, or it can also be emotional.
We live in a world where we must work hard and smart before we reach the height of success we long for. With these hard and smart work comes the need to stress ourselves to a certain degree. I think stress levels can be managed but not avoided.

I love reading books, but I don't like reading school books. The only school book I can comfortably read is psychological theories - Sigmund Freud, Erikson, e.t.c If I try to read any other book aside from Anatomy and physiology, and these theories, I would become mentally stressed. I hated it when i'm mentally stressed because its difficult to cope with the signs and symptoms.
To avoid stressing myself mentally, I decided to stop reading those books. I only read when we have exams. Initially, it was good for me, but then, I noticed when i read those books a few weeks to exams, I find it difficult retaining the knowledge. Not only that, the mental stress became worst. Headache was the order of the day, and I could not even concentrate properly.
Welp, I tried my best and I passed the exams. Ever since that day, I read books on how to properly manage stress and its been working out well for me to a very good extent. Instead of running away from the stress, I looked for a few ways to cope with it and read well.
Thank you for reading.
