Hello, everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. Death is inevitable, which makes it impossible that everyone on the face of the earth has not lost a person or two to the cold hands of death, and all that we are left with is just memories of them and how they lived their lives while they were with us. The fact that death is inevitable makes it important that we live life right and treat people right, for how we live and treat people is the only thing we will be remembered for.

Death is something that has existed even since the days of old. Even from the Bible, we were made to understand that there is a time and season for everything, a time when we are born and a time when we die. It makes death a part of human existence; the birth of a person brings joy and happiness, but the death of a person brings about the complete opposite of joy and happiness. From the day a person is born, we all have to know that a time will come when they die, despite the pain and sadness that come with it.
The demise of a person hurts more when you are close to or have a close relationship with the dead. After the demise of a person, the memories you have with each other keep playing in your head, and sometimes you won't even know how tears start rolling down your chin. Sometimes it is scary to create memories; they make you feel haunted whenever that person is no more. At some point in our lives, we all wish we could point out when and how death would strike so we could avert and avoid its sting.
I felt the pain of losing a loved one again in 2018, and I think this one hurt the most. My father's younger brother, who was so much in love with football, was a defender, and that was how he got the name Stopper. He was very stubborn and loved my siblings, and I like same way he loved his own kids. He is that type of uncle who cares little about age and how you relate to him; he was open and friendly. Despite the age gap, he played with us like we were friends, and he was one of the few people who introduced me to the game of football. I fell in love with the game too, and I still enjoy it to this day.
When he came visiting, he would take us to the viewing center with him, and that day would be a day where we got to eat candies to our satisfaction, and sometimes we went back home late. If it was just us that came back that late, we would have been in trouble, but having him with us was like a cover for all of us, so my parents will just welcome us and not scold us. His visit to our house kind of made our parents cut us some slack; he always loved it when we went out with him, so we got our chores done just so nothing would stop us from following him, as following him was fun and enjoyable.
Funny how he still remains the only uncle that ever came to visit me in school, and the way we talk on WhatsApp and his words of encouragement really did keep me going. He is an uncle who does everything within his power just to see you smile. In 2018, he fell ill and did not fight it for long before he gave up the fight in October 2018. Moving on after creating such memories was a difficult thing to do, but what has happened has happened, and moving on is a must.
Thanks for reading my post.
What an amazing uncle indeed. I believe that he is resting now. We will all meet to part no more with our love ones.
Thanks for sharing
I am really sorry to know about your uncle, but this is life, and you need to keep moving forward.
Yea. What has happened has happened and we can only move on which is a must. We can only keep and cherish those memories of them with us so we have something to always remember them for.
Your uncle managed to transcend in you and in his other relatives, that is one of the greatest achievements in life, you will always remember him active and happy and you will honor his memory. There are people who always give us indelible memories and teach us values that we should multiply and share with others.
Life!
That's how is it. Death comes to complete it.
May his soul continue to rest in peace. AMEN
