Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners featured post. Abortion happens to be quite a complex topic because you speak for or against it depending on where you stand. When you speak from the perspective of religion, you will speak against it. When you speak from the perspective of being humane too, you will speak against it because abortion is killing, and those who do such should be in the same category as those who have committed murder. Some say it is just a foetus, but that foetus would have developed into a baby, and eliminating it before it is fully developed does not stop such an action from being considered murder.

Also, when you speak from the angle or perspective of being ready to shoulder the responsibility of parenthood or not, you will speak for abortion and be in support of it because it makes no sense to bring a child into the world knowing fully well that you cannot cater for the primary needs of the child. Bringing a child into this world requires a lot of preparation and readiness, and if the parents are not ready and won’t be ready before the child is born, then you can find yourself supporting the act. Abortion has to do with the removal of the foetus before it is fully developed; it is risky and can result in so many health problems if done wrongly or by a quack.
The risks that come with abortion are quite many; sometimes, even when done by professionals, there are still health problems encountered. The attempt at abortion has left so many scarred, and till date they have not been able to recover from it because what it took from them is irreplaceable, and now they have to live with the regrets, wishing they could turn back the hands of time and maybe keep the baby instead of having an abortion.
From all the perspectives above, personally, I don't think there is a reason to actually justify abortion. For me, I feel it is not an act anyone should engage in for any reason. It involves killing, whether the baby is fully developed or not, you will have blood on your hands when you commit an abortion, and things like that hardly go unpunished; there will always be repercussions later on for all the parties involved. Instead of doing things that will put you in the position to start contemplating whether to do an abortion or not, use protection or practise abstinence.
Another reason I feel people should stay away from abortion is because of the dangers it poses to the health of the mother. Many women today have lost what actually makes them women (the ability to give birth) all because of an abortion they did years ago. Many are battling with one health issue or the other as a result of tampering with their womb in an attempt to commit an abortion. The guy or man might lose nothing when an abortion is done, but the woman might lose everything. Sometimes you might lose it and not know until years later when you come to realise how much damage you have caused yourself.

I think deciding to get an abortion should be by mutual agreement and not one-sided. Both the father and mother have to agree that it is what they want. If one party refuses or disagrees, then an alternative option should be brought to the table that still favours both of them, or one should try and get the other on their side. Abortion should not be forced; it should be something agreed on willingly.
I don't support it in any way too, abortion should not be the option, I think it's good to give birth to the child and give the baby to orphanage home instead.
It's not something to be involved in, it poses a lot of threats to one's life.
