The Bible says, "Children are the heritage of God," and it also says, "Go into the world and multiply," but the Bible doesn't say we should give birth and neglect our children or we shouldn’t cater for them. Some people will always misquote the Bible because it says two things.
I don't know the problem of the poor. When they know that they can't cater for the children they give birth to, why give birth to them without any proper care? That's why you will see rich people giving birth to two or three children; it's not because they can't give birth to more than that, but because they know what they are doing and they know the consequences of giving birth to more than three.
That's why, before giving birth, first of all, think about the money you are earning. Before making any decisions about how many children you want, you must think about how the decision would affect the child or children you want to bring into the world. Note that you are the one who would make your decision or plan, not the government.

This used to annoy me when I saw children who were supposed to be in school learning, hawking, begging, stealing, or doing improper things to survive. Then why give birth to children when you can't even take good care of them?
During our forefather's days, they were the ones I know that gave birth to more than five children, but now that we are in the 21st century, things have improved. That's why we have birth control pills and family planning. The maximum number of children we should have is three, and we must have good work so that we can be able to cater for their needs.
In my home town, there's a man who got married to two wives, although I don't know the number of children the first wife gave birth to the second wife which I know gave birth to twelve (dozen) children they find it difficult to eat in their family. Some will be begging, while others will be helping some people with work so that they can eat to survive.
Another one that happened in the area where I was studying was a woman who gave birth to a baby and dropped the baby in a dump and let pigs eat the baby. I was sad and angry because when she knew she wouldn't be able to raise the child, why give birth to the baby when there's a plan B, e.g., birth control pills?
Now tell me, if the government said we should only give birth to two or three children, wouldn't it be better for us, Knowing we won't give them proper care if we give birth to multiple children, especially when things are now expensive? Then tell me how they survive it.
I even watched a Hollywood movie where the couple gave birth to six children and the wife was pregnant again and expecting triplets, the husband was a gateman while the wife was a full housewife. As I was watching the movie, I was like, How will you be having so many children and you are a gateman or you don't have a good job to feed your children and the wife? The funniest part was when the guy knew his wife was expecting and they were triplets, he fainted. He was thinking, How will he feed his children? Eveheim and his wife will also eat. To me, when you have given birth to two or three children, you should either use birth control pills or do family planning so that it won't turn into an unwanted pregnancy that you don't want.
I think it's now the right time to find a way to stop giving birth to children that we know we won't be able to cater to or care for, and also find a way to help the children who are roaming all around find what to eat to survive.

Parenting is more of responsibility than just giving birth but it's unfortunate that we place more emphasis on the later. We believe that only those who give birth and in large number are good parents. Illiteracy is such a disease.
Yes, illiteracy is a disease, when you know you can't cater for them, why give birth to many.
