Good day, people of Hive! Happy next week!

Family timeouts are a very important moment where the family meets together to celebrate, eat, and express each other's feelings.

You know, before technology brought the smartphone, family and friends spent a lot of time together, making memories. People no longer go to visit family and friends again since they see that they have the phone to just check on them through phone calls or WhatsApp, even through emails. Even in my family, the only time we have time to spend with each other is during Christmas and New Year, because of that my eldest sister created two WhatsApp groups one for us siblings and the other group for we family so that we can constantly communicate with each other even if we are not together.

Since we have all grown up and live in separate states, people who have jobs focus on their jobs, and children also focus on their school and family reunions. That's why my sister created the WhatsApp groups for us. The last time we had family reunions was during the Christmas and New Year period when everybody came together to celebrate it even though not everybody came during that time. Even during the time we got together, my eldest and the third born were unable to stay long to celebrate the New Year with us; they only used three days before they left because where my eldest sister was working, they didn't give her many days to celebrate Christmas and New Year together while the third was travelling, so that's the reason they were unable to spend the New Year together with us.

But my two sisters made sure that we had a family bond together before they left, even though they didn't give us the chance to press our phones. If they saw anyone among us pressing their phone, my eldest sister would make sure that she collected the phone until we were done having the family bond together before giving it to that person.

During Christmas and New Year, we will make sure to celebrate it because we all know that before we can see each other, it will be December, so we are very sure to celebrate it by killing goats, chickens, rabbits, taking pictures, dancing, and also enjoying ourselves just to celebrate our family bond together before we all go back to our destination.

We even gather together in the sitting room just to express ourselves, talking about what's going on in our lives and also telling them what's going on in our school. We all enjoyed the memories.
Even before my eldest sister left back to her workplace, I pitied her because she was always with her phone working. Even if we asked her to rest a bit, she wouldn't even answer us; all she would say was that she had to work even when she was on break.

The importance of family time should not be underrated, and we must all give time for our family time so that it will serve as a memory too.

Thanks for reading❤❤❤❤❤.

Christmas to my family is also the best time for bonding because everyone stays apart during the year. Spending quality time during this period ensures that we keep tabs on each other and know exactly how everyone is doing because phone calls can never equate physical conversations

You are right phone calls can be of us seeing each other face to face.

Wow
Nice story. That's why there are advantages and also disadvantages of the technology. Come to think of your family member living abroad and in a country where you can't really visit regularly due to transportation cost, you will be very grateful for technology which has provided you with the opportunity to make phone calls at least. But when you live close and communication is still technological, you would say it is not helpful.
Family reunions is a sign of love and unity among family members. I am happy for you, there a lot of families that uncles and even brothers and sisters are afraid of eating on the same table. Nice story Madam. Pray the love and unity in your family last forever.

Amen. Exactly, some families don't even value family time and even like you said some families are afraid of eating at the same table. Also, family reunions are a sign of love, affection and unity among family members.

Family is everything, I believe family should come first but in this Generation people spend more time on phone than with their families, even married women are now chair lady on TikTok

You are right there, this generation of people prefers to spend their time on their phones than having family time.
