Data is very important part of life,
Data can be defined as information, facts, or statistics that you can analyze and interpret. You can use data across various fields and industries in order to guide in decision-making, optimize processes, and uncover valuable insights.
data can also be defined as a raw fact, in a nutshell, data can be a number, symbol, character, word, codes, graphs, etc. On the other hand, information is data put into context. Information is utilised by humans in some significant way (such as to make decisions, forecasts etc).
Most of the time we use the words Data and information interchangeably but there is a subtle differences between them.
For example, Old 3 Years am I : this can be be said to be a data, in right sense each of the words can't make any meaning until, each words are arranged properly and then the meaning comes out. Here is the Information: I am 3 years Old, Anyone who reads that understand immediately what the words means,
So our data especially in context of the Computer, the Internet (Inter connection of Many computers all around the world) are usually processed information,
For example if you signed up into a social Media sites: you give out many personal data; your Names, your location, your occupation, your pictures, your password, your videos, your hobbies, your favourite pet, you political views and many more.
Here is a shocking truth everyone needs to know about the Internet, especially the Web 2;
Every time we use the internet, we leave a trail of personal data behind — everything from our name and age, to our IP address and credit card number. And once that information is out there, it cannot be contained. It is bought, sold and traded via data brokers. It is scraped from one organization's website by another.
This is very true, that is why Search Engines are thriving, Digital Marketing Medias, Advertising Companies , the Government and Many social Media giants gets their Major Profits.
The Government and Your Data:
One of the people that have easy access to your data is the Government, the people in government easily gets their hands on our personal data, not just internet alone, even the calls we made on a daily basis is being stored.
Am i bothered by this?
Absolutely not but my major concerns is that some information are not supposed to be accessible to the government for example your medical conditions could be shared without your consent or even for political reasons or even your banking data or Your Familys informations , could be made available to the Government, which doesn't actually makes sense.
Merits of Our Data and information out to the public
Professionally if some of your work Profile or Information is submitted to some websites like LinkedIn and others, it can easily gives access to get a Job,
Likewise Social media sites. Advertisement is made easy.
Search engines gets to have more efficient access to more information, therefore making access to information easier too.
Demerits of private Data being accessible
The demerits are being discussed earlier in the post, the Government can easily prey on these datas for their own use. Search engines and big social media sites sells our private data to some data miners etc.
The solution to this problems is Web 3, and the Use of VPNs (Virtual Private Networks).
VPNs gives you more control to your data and shield off data hungry sites from stealing your private datas. Web3 too also does that very effectively.

I'm bothered by it and you know why? Some people can easily use this out data out there to scams us. Have we not been seeing it already? Our country can not keep our data safe but do we have a choice?

Lol yeah man. We are totally dependent on those online websites in the name of privacy. We have nothing left. They know everything.

It's a fact that through devices we're seeing that our private things, our private data, is not safe at all and people can use it.
