I have a sleeping problem, one I never really considered to be a problem all these years because I've always gone to bed with a peace of mind, not expecting anything to happen to me or around me in the middle of the night while I sleep.
But unfortunately, the country has been really unsafe for the past few weeks, with the past few days having a series of bad news here and there. And while everyone is trying to be safe and praying that the danger doesn't get to them, I'm also trying to be vigilant. Also, a couple of days ago, a bunch of Hausa and Fulani people moved into my street, and I'm not trying to bring tribalism into any of this, but these people have been known to cause trouble wherever they go.
As a matter of fact, the reason they recently moved to this street was a result of an issue that they had with the police, which forced them to run for their lives.
Anyway, nothing has happened yet, and nothing might happen, but due to things happening all over the country, I just can't help but feel a certain level of unease, so like I said, I'm trying to be more vigilant and security conscious.
But unfortunately for me, I have a problem with the way I sleep, because apparently I sleep too deep, almost like I go unconscious and become totally oblivious of whatever is happening around me. Sleeping like that is something I consider to be a bad thing because this is a time when I have to be able to get up by the slightest sound possible, just so that I don't get left behind when everyone is running for their lives.
So, are there any tricks or lifestyle changes that I have to do in order to be able to control how deeply I sleep, or do I have to set an alarm to wake me up every hour of the night?

I can understand the situation but I think you can't do anything in that case and so I recommend you not to be worried too much as it's such a thing beyond your control.
