It Happened Before

We've often times imagined what it would be like to have super powers, sometimes we allow ourselves to enjoy that imagination even if it's for a few minutes. I remember back in the day, I would imagine that I had the power to read minds and try to predict what my friends were thinking without telling them. Sometimes I would get it right and sometimes I wouldn't but I remember that feeling I always get whenever I got it right.

But unfortunately we don't have supernatural powers or that was what I thought before I knew what deja vu was. You see, I've been thinking and trust me when I say that I believe the closest thing to having a supernatural power we humans might ever feel is experiencing a deja vu.

The only sad thing about deja vu is that we really don't know when it's about to happen until it has happened and that really sucks because each time I get to experience a deja vu, I remember I always take a pause to think about the whole thing, almost like I'm taking a moment to gather my thoughts to know if this thing that just happened has really happened in the past and what will most likely happen next.

Unfortunately, deja vu goes as quickly as it comes and then everything is back to normal. It really sucks because one moment I feel so powerful, like I know what's going to happen and then the next minute I know nothing. Then I tell my friend that I just had a deja vu.

I always tell the person in the same room with me that I just had a deja vu and I honestly don't know why, it just feels like the right thing to do. Also, the strange thing about deja vu is that I really don't remember any of it after it has happened.

I've had countless deja vu in my life but if I'm asked to recall one time I did get to experience deja vu, I would come up with nothing and it's really weird now that I think of it.

I honestly have no idea why deja vu happens because to me, it just feels like the universe having a glitch and I say this because, to me, deja vu hasn't really had any impact in my life. Like it's safe to say having a deja vu is almost useless if not completely useless because it goes as quickly as it comes and it doesn't help us predict what might happen next (like give us a glimpse of the future), so yeah, deja vu is cool and all but it really doesn't do much.

I think it's safe to say that the feeling of having a deja vu is like getting high for a split second and then everything is back to normal.

I have been reading entries from other writers and now I can say what this Deja Vu means. Do you know that I have been experiencing this but never heard of the word Deja Vu until the last hangout? Lol

I use to have this quick feeling of something to happen but it dissapear so quickly but you know what? Within a short time, that thing will happen but leaves no significant impact.

Well, I think this thing is just a natural thing that happens to everyone but most of us don't pay attention to it or rather don't know what it is

Glad to learn a new word from this edition topic
Thanks to you guys, the HL team ✅👍

Well good thing you now know the word for it.. I guess that is why they say we learn everyday 😅

Yeah it does happens to everyone and I always know when it happens to me.. What I would love to know is when it's about happening, that way I can get to enjoy the feeling of experiencing deja vu.. I don't like how it quickly comes and goes.
