When you look at the school environment these days, you get shivers down your spine at the crazy things these students be doing nowadays. Things have gotten so bad to the extent where I now understand strict parents who always try to prevent their kids from mingling with other kids (although I don't think it's the best solution), due to the many atrocities these people now commit.
In the university system, almost every student has abused drugs in one way or the other. The ones who haven't are fighting really hard to not do it, because now, due to the population of people who make this harmful stuff look cool, a lot of people get pressured into wanting to give it a try just so that they could have an idea of what it feels like or just to belong.
Yesterday, I was seated with some of my friends when a guy who knew someone else in the group began to tell us the story of how he and another friend were almost arrested a couple of days ago on their way back from where they went to get drugs.
He told us about how he had gotten a number of drugs, drugs I didn't even know one could mix together. For a minute it felt like a chemist teaching us laboratory work, and it just made me realize how far gone most of these people are.
Now imagine having to send your sixteen-year-old kid into a world like that, all by themselves, because they got admitted into the university. When you think of it, you might find yourself doubting if you have given that child enough home training to help them resist the temptation of joining these other guys.
Unfortunately, no matter the amount of home training a child receives, all it takes for them to go against it is becoming friends with one wrong person, and it's over. The thought of that alone is very scary.

The situation seems worst in your country. I think if it's go on that way it's indeed hard to develop the nation as those are the people who will control the future of your country.
