I have a very tasty recipe of Ilish vuna to share today. I tried my best to make it as yummy as possible and Im quite happy with the outcome. Here it is, served to you all, hoping you like my Ilish vuna.
Ingredients
- Ilish fish—1whole fish
- Oil—3tabil spoon
- Salt—2tea spoon
- Onion—half cup
- Green chilli—5 piece
- Onion pest—3 tabil spoon
- Turmeric powder—half tea spoon
- Chilli power—half tea spoon
- Cumin power—half tea spoon
procedure
First I cut the hilsa fish, washed it, cleaned it and smeared it with turmeric and salt. Then I put a pan in the oven and put oil in it as required.Then I fried the fish upside down for some time and made it brown.
When the fish is browned and fried, I take it on a plate. Then I put the chopped onions inside the oil.
Then I put thegreen chilli with the onion and fry it till light brown.
At this stage I gave turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and salt with a little stirring and then I added onion pest.
I have to remove the spices from everything for some time till the oil floats on the spices. I will remove the spices.
When the spice is seasoned, I put the fried fish inside it. After stirring the fish with the spices for some time, I gave the fish some warm water to cook it.Then you have to keep the stove going for few more munites to cook the fish well.

Then the water dries well and when the makha makha(thick gravy) is done, you have to understand that the cooking is done. I have turned off the stove.

At this point I put my food on a plate.
