What a year, honestly it feels just like yesterday when we ushered in the new year (2025), and now, just like that the same year is coming to an end really fast, just a couple of weeks left. Wow! Honestly, the year 2025 has been a whole lot. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, both as a student, last born child and also as an independent young adult, who is striving and hustling really hard day and night to make sure his story has a more sweeter and successful ending than that of his parents. This is how high I want to go in life. I want to make sure my future is more secured and stable, not just for me or for my parents, but for my own future, which happens to be the family i start for myself in the near future…

As we all know, it is quite impossible for any serious minded person to start the new year without some set goals, targets and expectations. The Goals for year 2025…
Honestly, this year has been mainly about building and maintaining my academic foundation. I graduated high school 5 years ago and within that number of years, i took the UTME examination twice, before my first UTME exam, i worked for a year in different organizations, after a year i took my first UTME examination, but failed to gain admission into the tertiary institution because of one reason or another. I decided to go back to the work field again to work and save up some money for the next trial, since I blew all my savings on the last examination which failed…
I worked for the whole of 2023 and took the UTME examination again the following year. This time i was determined to enter any school by all means, be it the polytechnic or the university. At last, fortune smiled on me and i was admitted this year into one of the best polytechnics in my country…
I resumed fully earlier this year and was more academically determined than ever, and that was because I knew what was installed for me as a student in a polytechnic like this. I have to come out with the best result if I want my next goal to be achieved. This is to tell you how crazily determined i was. My 2025 goals is linked to my life in the next 2 years (2027)…
I already knew how hectic and demanding the job ahead would be, so i had to make some changes and some major sacrifices in other areas of my life, since i could come back to that later on. I had to slow down a bit on my work goals (hive targets) and had to take on completely my academical goals and targets…
I have been in school for almost a year now, i just completed my 16 weeks industrial experience program and will soon be on the journey to my final lap in the tertiary institution. Just so you know, i was given a 2 years to study this particular course of mine, which means i have just a session left before moving to the next part of my life…
To God be the glory, i can say to you right now, in all form of hard work, pride and honesty that I “SALAMI ABDULQUDUS OLUWASEYI”, a student of one of the best polytechnics in my state, am one of the students with one of the best results in my department this session. For lack of a better term, i am a distinction student. I didn’t achieve this with mouth, it took me constant attendance, participation in school activities and one hell of a nonstop preparation to achieve this great feat. I owe this academic success to God and the blockchain as a whole…
In summary, I still have 2 semesters left, i know it’s not going to be easy but then again it will be easy, because one with God remains unstoppable…
