Honestly, i have been waiting to write on a topic like this for months, and that’s because i have been looking for the best way to vent out my anger and frustrations with these apps, especially with the way these so called social media platforms are consuming excessive amount of data subscription now. Social medias haven’t always been my thing, the bitter truth is that I never liked it for any reason in the past. I saw it as a big distraction then and still do now, but not as much as then. If I’m to choose between social media platforms and movies, I’ll always choose movies over and over again without a second thought, and that’s because i find movies more relaxing and entertaining than any social media platform, especially my romance filled korean dramas and hollywood movies. They are just the best for both good and bad days. Nothing beats streaming a romance filled Korean drama on a bad day. They just hit differently when streamed in the comfort of one’s home, unlike these so called social media platforms filled with so many distractions and unnecessary billings…
Facebook was my most used social media platform before whatsapp, i was forced to ditch it immediately it became easily accessible to all . I gravitated towards whatsapp afterwards, and loved it even more because of its extraordinary features, it was more advanced than facebook and not really accessible to all, only android users could access it. When it comes to data consumption, whatsapp is the least app on my phone that consumes data, especially when i choose not to view people's status, my subscription last longer. It became a sore app for me when it became the most used app for billing, but then i still find it more preferable than this so called app; TIKTOK. Which bring me to the next question...
TIKTOK IS THAT ONE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM
Honestly, the power to ban just one social media platform is something i have been craving for many years. Tiktok is that one particular social media platform that irks me so much for unknown reasons. I don't know what that particular app has done to me in the past, i just don't like it for any reason. What i just said up there, i don't think i can say it anywhere in public, and that's because i know people will come for my head. The tiktok i dislike so much and wish could just go into extinction is an app that the majority loves so much and spend most of their day on. I was forced to create an account with them a couple of years ago because of their collage feature, apart from using it to make videos and edit pictures, i don't think i have ever used it for anything else. Honestly, it's just a waste of resources to me...
WHY TIKTOK ?
Tiktok is the best definition of an unhealthy addiction. I see it as a noisy app with a little to no relevance to the lives of mankind. Apart from the fact that it consumes data excessively, i don't like it personally, and funniest thing about my dislike for it is that i don't have any peculiar reason. I just don't enjoy it like i enjoy other social media applications, especially Instagram. Oh my my, IG is my favorite of them all before Twitter (x)...
Honestly, i know for a fact that a world without tiktok would no doubt be the best WORD. Tiktok is an addictive application with no major importance, which is why it will always be an app i will never fancy. I know some of my friends would come for me in the comment section after reading this post. I am ready for them, let them come, energy full ground, lol...
