Jai Jagannath! Celebrating blissful Rath Yatra. [my painting]

in Hive Learnerslast year

Sunday, was a very auspicious ocassion. The whole India celebrated Ratha Yatra, dedicated to lord Jagannath. It is a celebration of devotion and the divine connection between humans and the deities.

Lord Jagannath is a Hindu deity and a form of the god Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. He is also known as Purushottama, which means "The Supreme Divine Being", and is worshipped as the Lord of the Universe, of the three worlds of the heavens, earth, and the netherworld.

The 12th-century Jagannatha temple in Puri is a prominent feature of the town and contains wooden images of Jagannatha, his brother Balabhadra (Balarama), and his sister Subhadra. On the auspicious ocassion of Ratha Yatra , I painted this beautiful picture of Lord Jagannath with with pure devotion and faith.

Jagannath Rath Yatra is the symbolic journey of three deities: Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Balabhadra, and their sister Subhadra. The Rath Yatra, a major event in Odisha, draws thousands of devotees who gather to witness the magnificent chariots and participate in pulling them. It serves as a powerful symbol of Odisha's rich cultural heritage and the deep faith of millions. The Jagannatha Rath Yatra festival began with estimates ranging from the 12th to 16th centuries. Stories and myths surround its origins. It represents Lord Krishna's visit to his mother's birthplace. The main festure of Lord Jagannath idol were their big large eyes. According to many ancient texts, scriptures, and beliefs, Lord Jagannath's large eyes are a symbol of his omniscience, omnipresence, divine vision, and wisdom. Keeping everythingbin check and with faith in my heart. I began my drawing.
