Traditional Belief

Hello hivians, hope we're all having a wonderful weekend?

On this beautiful day, I will be writing about the customs and traditions of my hometown. I will say it's a good thing to know the beliefs that governs a particular society, the do's and don't. I know of a place where as a lady it's wrong to sit and cross your leg if there's a man sitting close by.

Anyways, customs and traditions varies in my place where I hail from. We have a lot of customs we believe and should be observed to the later, but today I will be sharing just one out of all.

So, we have a deities which we worship, this deity has Custodians called the 'Chief priest'. Every year, precisely in the month of August for the period of four consecutive days, there will be no washing of clothes, no sweeping of the environment, individuals should not shout to call someone else, no vehicles passing should blast horn.

Then it becomes a taboo after knowing all this lay down rules and secretly go against them.

The implications of going against this, is that the substance IWU (it's in form of a bean) that is supposed to be ripe and ready within the period of that four days will no longer be, now it will be forcefully plucked down making it loss its sweetness and also every food that will be made in any household will loss its sweetness also at that period.

Thanks for stopping by.
