Reading || My daily habit

Greetings!

Book reading is one thing that has become part of me, although, people no longer read physical books due to the advent of technology, but as for me, I still derive pleasure in reading physical books as it helps me to concentrate and avoid the online or social media distraction, most especially while reading via my phone or laptop.

I love reading, not because of the saying that readers are leaders but because it's become part of me. So, reading is one thing I cannot do without in my life.

Having talked about my love for reading, I would like to talk about the topic of the prompt in the Hive Learners community which is “A reading habit.”

Like I said earlier, reading is one organ of my body that I can do without and this is because I just love it. Aside from loving reading naturally, my quest and thirst for knowledge and new ideas both physically and spiritually has always endeared me to reading.

Also, because of my love to be a good writer, I have also cultivated the habit of reading great writers' books.

So, one of the books I'm currently reading is a spiritual book, written and published by a clergyman in the person of the Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) president, Bishop Francis Wale Oke which is titled “breaking every barrier to progress.”

The book was first published in the year 1998 and the second edition was in the year 2001 and the revised edition was in the year 2018. The book was published by the kingdom House, the sword of the spirit ministries and it has 30 chapters in which I'm still on chapter 23.

I love the book as it talks and explains explicitly on how to break every barrier of sins and enemies and one thing is that if one can read the whole book and live by the content of what's being said in it, then to break every barrier of life would not be so difficult for everyone.

Aside from the content of the book, I have also been able to develop my reading skills through the reading of the book. Now, I can now read and study the content of any book without being bored, unlike before I used to get tired of such book contents, especially when it comes to spiritual books that have bible quotations.

But that was then as I have really developed my reading skill via these inspirational spiritual books which has really been a blessing to me and my family.

In addition, I have also learned some writing skills from the way the author writes and reviews this book. Although I have not published any book, there's one I'm currently working on and I believe by reading “breaking every barrier to progress,” I would be able to make use of what I have learnt in the way the author writes.

In conclusion, reading physical books is not just anything to me, but a way of life and I can boldly tell us that I'm currently reading, “breaking every barrier to progress,” by Bishop Francis Wale Oke and I'm recommending the same book to those who would love to read it.

This is my entry to week 186, edition 02 of the weekly Featured contest in the Hive Learners community.

Thanks for reading.
